Artikelnr. 52181OR

Perfect for active layering (Review by Ben)

This has become my go to for cold weather active pursuits. I have used it as a single layer for skate skiing in the 20s and teens. It breathes very well and has some moderate wind-blocking. It is also a great layer and is clearly designed to be one. I wouldn't mind a slightly tighter hood(as one of the reviewers mentioned) and some zip hand pockets(but that might make it less ideal for layering under a harness or other activities).
Overall, I love it and I am going to pick up another I always have one available!

WAS great... (Review by ddoppler)

So, I have one of these that I wear constantly, purchased in 2013. The perfect layer... warm, great fitted cut and an AWESOME scarf-like neck when fully zipped up. I wear it so much I had to get another one. Unfortunately, one of the best features of this garment has been changed. The 2014 version does not have the same snug fit around the neck. This causes the jacket to fit poorly and create drafts around the neck. Was super disappointed in the most recent version of the jacket. If it wasn't for this change, this would be a 5 star review! To see the difference I'm talking about, compare the jacket fully zipped up, hoods on, on the two models in the pictures. The Glacier/Abyss, non-mustache guy is wearing the old cut, the Dusk/Night mustachioed guy is wearing the new cut. It is a large difference. I believe the pics of the jackets only to be the old cut. Huge fan of the old cut... please bring it back, OR!!

OR devotee... keep making great gear! Cheers!

Perfect Mid-Layer (Review by Moritz)

I currently own two Radiant Hoodies and have used them for all of my outings. From Big Walls to Snowboarding and Ice Climbing this mid-layer does a superb job. It keeps me warm and is yet breathable. The material is very durable and doesn´t get holes easily. I can easily change the temperature by putting on the hood and the thumb-things on the sleeves. Once I need more ventilation, I take the hood of and free my arms. It really makes a difference. The cut fits me perfectly (170lbs, 5.11), it´s snug! The pocket is at the right spot and the zippers are of very high quality. Get one!

Wow, What a perfect layer! It is super lightweight yet toasty. It fits snug but moves perfectly with me as I climb. The hood fits very nicely under my helmet. So comfy I want to wear it all the time, and I do! I have put it through the paces while climbing, boarding, biking, hiking; and did I mention climbing? It has withstood the punishment I inflict on my gear. I don't know anyone that is harder on their gear than I am, I DESTROY gear, but the Radiant Hybrid Hoody is totally unfazed by my attacks! I love mine, get some! OR rules!

Great layer addition (Review by Dale)

The RHH is part of what I consider the ideal OR layering system: The echo, RHH, Axiom and filament. This thing breaths well, has the hood for if the ascent gets windy and cold [or saving weight by leaving the hat in the car], and the chest pocket for your electronics of choice, thumb holes keep the arms in place for when it gets chilly. Full zip is personally preferred, but I know some like the half zip. The hood will fit tight under a climbing helmet if it's cold, or stretch over the top for when you're swapping leads requiring fast and easy on/off. In all, a very good competitor to the benchmark R1 hoody from Patagonia. Would love to see some similar features - namely a little extra fabric on the torso to ensure the garment stays tucked, but I still wear this thing all the time.

I'm 6'1", 185 lb, 43" chest, neutral ape index. The medium fits like it was custom tailored for me.

NIce mid layer (Review by Jason )

This is a great mid layer. I wear it for every activity (i.e. rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, and social events).

The piece I can't live with out (Review by Michael)

It feels like OR designed this fleece specifically for me and my needs. The fit is superior as well as the construction. I spent most of last year traveling and climbing rock and ice in Korea and this fleece handled everything from protecting me during cheese grater falls on alpine granite slab to shed water on early season ice routes. It has a perfect mix of wind protection and moisture wicking properties as well as feeling like a second skin that moves fluidly with the body never impeding movement. I love it. Oh and did I mention how wonderful the hood is with the off center zipper, IE no more chaffing on your chin. There is one thing I don't like about this fleece; now I don't like any of my other fleeces.

Awesome hoody (Review by Clayton)

I love this hoody so much that I got a second one... even though I didn't need it. Just as good as a Patagonia R1 or similar layer... which is a crucial, versatile layer. Has always been great for climbing, skiing, hiking and everything else. Top notch!
