- Best pants ever (Review by Shane)
These pants are amazing. I use them on almost all of my hikes and they are always the perfect temperature. Extremely comfortable and shed light rain amazingly. Even when they are soaked through they are comfy.

- Great pants for the outdoor enthusiast! (Review by LifesNextAdventures)
Very stretchy material which makes the pants great for rock climbing, hiking, or just everyday pants! Very comfortable but form fitting. Packable and hold up well in most weather (light rain, snow, etc).
Only complaint i have is the legs and groin area feel a bit too tight for my comfort. I wear these pants about once every three to four days and anytime i'm in the backcountry they are in my bag. So far they are holding up very well like most gear i buy from OR. Thanks for a great product Outdoor Research!

- Perfect pants! (Review by Eric)
Mes pantalons préféré! Je les portes pratiquement tout les jours. Léger, respirant et surtout confortable! Idéal pour l'escalade au gym ou à l'extérieur.

- Great Pants (Review by Derek)
I love these pants. They block a little wind, shed a little rain, are tough and very comfortable. I have had 2 pairs over several years. Put a hole in one during a fall with an axe and it never tore any further after that. My only "complaint" is the thigh pocket has a vertical zipper. You have to be careful when opening it so your phone doesn't fall out, especially when several hundred feet off the deck. I'd personally like a more diagonal or horizontal zipper opening for this pocket.

- Fantastic pants (Review by Bill)
For me a perfect pant. Construction, styling, colour. The fabric is light yet has enough structure to look like a stylish pair of pants. These pants are not your ordinary hiking pants.

- I love these pants! (Review by Adam)
These are definitely my favorite off work pants, I wear these hiking and doing everything else outdoors. Even indoors these pants feel great - they are cool, dry, and fit like another layer of skin (that I never had). Super comfortable and dependable.
I will say if there are two things I have small issues with - they run a little bit large and a little bit long (the length doesn't bother me though with the elastic on the bottom of the pants).
I highly recommend these pants for any type of rain or cooler weather (maybe not winter without a thermal layer underneath).

- Great Pant!! (Review by Matt)
I have been using this pant in both rock and alpine environments. I am 6'1" and weigh 185 lbs and they fit perfect. They have great articulation and length is just perfect, not too long, not too short. I would recommend this pant to anyone looking for a great all around pant in the summertime rock/alpine environment.

- Great pants, but not for tall people (yet) (Review by Matt)
I am 6.1 and wear size 32. This would be definitely great pants, but they are way too short in Regular. OR, please (please! please! please!) start making them in LONG version also. I'll buy two as soon as you offer them in LONG. Otherwise great quality as always!

- Great in so many ways (Review by Doc-Rush)
These pants are near perfect for so many things. They're tougher than they look, dry quick, and move with you. The elastic line in the ankle cuff works great and disappears when you don't need it.
I'd like deeper hand pockets, but they do the job.

- A Great regular outdoor pant (Review by Bestbuilder)
These are my everyday pant I wear them to work, Backpacking, hiking, scrambling, Scouting, yes, everyday. They are well made, fit true to size, durable and give just enough when bending or stretching to get that toe hold that puts stress on the crotch of regular pants.
I would give them Five stars if the front pockets were a little deeper (so my whole hand fit inside) and if they had two thigh zip pockets instead of one.

- No going back (Review by Jacob)
I started wearing OR pants about a year and a half ago and ever since I tried on these pants I cant make myself go back to regular jeans or khakis. I hate when pants bind and don't move with you, the ferrosi fabric is the exact opposite. I climb mostly in the SE region of the US and these pants surprisingly hold up great on sandstone. I thought they would shred for sure when I got them but the first pair I bought is still going strong. I couldn't recommend a product or company more. I've been more than happy with every pair of pants I've received from OR. Only complaint is they don't restock often enough!

- hard wearing, well designed (Review by gitrdun)
I beat and use the heck out of my gear - from big walls to guiding on alpine rock (lots of butt scooting and seated belays), and can attest to the quality of construction, materials, and subtle design features that make the difference to people who spend time climbing technical rock in the mountains and the crag. I like that the boot cuffs fit snug around the top of my Trangos so they keep scree and snow out without needing stirrup strap attachment points. The fabric stretches with your body and the fit is technical without being at all constrictive. As stated before, the fabric holds up extremely well on rough granite, drys fast, and seems to keep me comfortable in a very wide temperature range - from hot summer days to cold pre-dawn starts for fall alpine ice. A note to the manufacturer: Do not change anything about these pants! I'm on my 3rd pair but have not honored their incredible warranty because they've far surpassed any pant I have tried so far with durability.

- Very comfortable, but.... (Review by Andrew)
I bought these in November (2014) and have worn them to work probably 2 dozen times. My first issue is the fit. I bought a size 32, but these are 3 inches too big, even out of the wash. EVERY pair of soft shell pants I currently own are a 32 and fit wonderfully, except these. As an instructor and outdoor educator, I need to have a professional look about me. I bought these specifically for work because they looked great, though now they look as though I have been cllimbing granite off-widths in them. The knee to thigh area on both legs have completely peeled. I am sceptical that they would withstand the torments of the alpine environments and technical pursuits that I live for.

- Mens Ferrosi Pants (Review by Jim)
I have owned these pants for a few months and have been very happy with them. I am 6'3, 240 lbs and I have the pewter 38 size pants. I have used these pants primarily for summer hikes in the Pacific Northwest and so far I have not had any issues with rain or warm weather. I am not sure I would wear these pants in cold and wet weather due to the fact they are very thin. I do wish OR would have included loops for their suspenders. After hiking for a while the waist will stretch and if you do not have a belt or suspenders the waist line will fall.

- Finest in Ferrosi (Review by Brimstonian)
Perfect fit ... The material is soft and flexible for all activities whether climbing, biking, hiking or working. I like the cut of the pants with double seams for withstanding the extremes of all situations while in the stretch ... if you get my drift....
Only suggestion for OR... Need more inventory!

- Near Perfection (Review by Ryan)
I have three pairs, and have used them over the course of a year. They have been trekking in Bhutan, climbing 14'ers in Colorado, as well as survived 130+F temps in southern Iraq. They still look brand new, wear extremely well, and were well suited for all these environments.
My only complains are the slightly tight crotch and the difficulty of finding them In Stock at OR. Otherwise...perfect.

- Great pants - if you carry a purse (Review by funNactive)
I almost love these pants. They would be 5 Stars if they had good pockets. I am 5'6" 140 lbs. athletic build. These pants fit great; not too tight, not too loose. - The only problem that diminishes their versatility are the pockets. They are way too small - a Samsung Galaxy S3/S4 will not fit comfortably in them.
If you intend to only use them for your outdoor athletic pursuits when you have a pack with you, they are great. But they have a casual look to them that that would make them versatile enough for around town wear if the pockets were deeper.
The material is light weight & durable - great for hot weather or when it is cooling down & you need to block wind or light precipitation.

- Wearing them more and more (Review by Jacob)
These are the kind of technical pants that are so comfortable I find myself wearing them more and more to places that would probably be more suited to dress jeans or slacks here in Europe. They are great for hiking and climbing, and while I think they look like technical pants, my wife likes how they look and says that she thinks they're OK to wear out around town. Which is fortunate, because I've been doing just that a lot these days. Breathable, stretchy, athletic cut. My only change would be some sort of drawstring or better yet a simple lateral waste-tightening system because, while the fit is better on the second pair that I bought (I needed a 32 instead of a 34, and it was worth it to get a second pair) sometimes wearing a belt with a backpack or a harness isn't very comfortable and it would be nice to be able to cinch them down a little for some activities. The Ferrosi pants haven't shown any signs of abrasion or snagging after taking them climbing 8 times and hiking countless times, and they've washed well.

Love these pants! I work outdoors and the ferrosi pants are extremely comfortable - never bind or bunch up.

- 3 season go to pants (Review by Michael)
I wore these for the better part of a year traveling by bus and train and climbing everything mostly granite and limestone. When living abroad you spend a lot of time in hot cramped buses or trains with extended hiking/hitch hiking(see riding in the back of bongo trucks) from bus and train stations to climbing destinations. I personally loved these pants because of how well they breath and the comfortable fit making them perfect for three season wear, they block wind well and shed light rain with ease. If you do manage to soak them through they dry with in the hour. The low profile waist fits great under a harness or the waist belt of your pack and the ankle cinch straps are a great finishing touch for climbers who want to keep their pants off their heels while tied into the sharp end. After a year of use they are showing some fuzziness on the knees and other high wear areas but that's to be expected of any light weight material when beaten against granite repeatedly.

- Great climbing pants (Review by adkeditor)
I just returned from a road trip in which I climbed at five locales in four states. I wore my Ferrosi pants on every climb, and they held up great. They're so lightweight and stretchy that you hardly notice them. They also can take a beating. I abraded my knees a few times, but the pants did not tear. Added bonus: the blood washed right out.
