warmest thing next to mitts (Review by Peter)

These are the warmest glove I've found that offer a modicum of dexterity. Some people can deal with mitts, I can’t, I become useless. So these gloves allow me to operate my fingers at least a little when it’s brutally cold. The fleece liners remove easily, and make a pretty good skin track glove. They even have a little pocket inside to hold your chemical hand warmers right against the veins on the back of your hand. One warning, the Velcro that attaches the liners to the main glove will also attach them to the inside of your pack, your dog, your car’s upholstery…etc. So, the liners can get “lost” when they grab onto something else. The Velcro has not been an issue with my jacket sleeves though, thankfully.
I like these gloves so much I bought a 2nd pair.

Love these gloves! (Review by Mountain-Man-Mike)

I am a fan of Outdoor Research for the quality design and durability of their product lines. Looking around for some ski/mountaineering gloves, I compared several top-name brands. All had just about the same features, and the OR HighCamp gloves were less expensive and from a brand I trusted. I love these gloves. Got 'em just recently and they have done very well in Michigan snow sledding with the kids and snowshoeing in the woods. They are waterproof as stated and keep my hands dry. They come with a removable liner for extra warmth...I have found the shells alone to be more than adequate for keeping my hands warm and dry during activities. The construction seems to be pretty bombproof and they should stand up to several seasons of use. I'm planning to use them on a winter attempt on Mount Washington come February 2014 and I expect they will perform perfectly. Overall, I am extremely pleased with these gloves and highly recommend them!

Great gloves (Review by Stevo)

I did the 3 Peaks Challenge this week (climb highest mountains in Wales, England and Scotland in 24 hours) and had just gotten these in the mail. I brought a lighter set with me up Snowdon and Scafell Pike, but decided to bring them along up Ben Nevis in Scotland. I was glad I did as by time we got to the summit the sun had been down for a couple of hours and it was cold. The gloves worked great, which frankly when you have been up for 38 hours straight, (we worked a full day then drove to Wales to start the challenge) and the temp is well below zero (friend's Suunto tagged it at -15) and dropping with 30-40 mph winds, you want your gear to being doing better than you are. My hands stayed warm and dry and I had no problem using my trekking poles or handling other easy tasks. For the finer task, the removable liner allow me to remove the glove without exposing my hands. Bottom line: these gloves have proved their worth and will be coming with me up much bigger mountains.
