I bought the Warrants to use as an all around winter glove. I have skied, hiked, and back country camped in them and they have always done a great job and kept my hands dry. Without liners my hands stayed warm down till about 15- 20 degrees. Pretty good for the amount of insulation I would say. I would buy them again

    Best Uses

    • Mountaineering
    • winter hiking

I've used this gloves in temps down to 8 degrees F and they work great and I have had to take them off a few times because my hands were too warm. While the outer shell was soaked and frozen my hands still remained warm and dry. Used the gloves for ice climbing and I had great dexterity could use the smallest of carabiners on my rack with no problems. Had no problems setting up anchors and placing ice screws.

They be very great to work on Ice, so your hands dont geting wett from it.
The water resistant Level from them is very high.

    • Q:

Hi. I am looking at gloves for a trip to the top of mt. Blanch (in late august). what would be the best choice: only one pair of gloves which would then be the Warrant. Or two pairs for different weather/temperatures which would then be the Alibi II gloves and the Alpine Alibi II for if it gets cold?
How much warmer is the Alpine Alibi II compared to the Warrant?

        A:

Okay so the target temp range for the Alpine Alibi II is -5/20F (-21/-7F) and the Warrant is only slightly different at 0/20F (-7/-17C). The Alibi II checks in at 20/35C (-7/2C) so if your looking to cover the widest temp. range going with the two glove approach is probably better

What is the best way to clean Warrant Gloves?

        A:

Just soak them in water, you can use Nikwax Tech Wash or regular laundry soap. Try not to use fabric softeners because they can be harsh on the fabric. I would avoid washing them in a washing machine, hot water should do the trick in the sink. They dry them with a boot/glove dryer or heat register, the dryer will be ok, but air flow is the best method.
