I have always had a warm head in the summer. I also have a big head which means hats aren't my "best look." However, I have reached a stage of life when I am warm all the time, so I drip. I needed a hat.

After some serious research I discovered your company and I'm so glad that I did! This hat is so light and comfortable that I could forget I have it on. My son even admitted that it looks pretty good. Thanks!

This hat is great! When buying another one, I compared this size to the size chart, and although my head is 22.5 inches, I see I bought a Large, which fits perfectly. It is great to find a summer hat for my big head! When walking outside, the wind catches it, but that is to be expected, and the chin strap holds my hat. I am buying the bucket hat for when I want to drive, but I don't expect a big brimmed hat to work in the car. I love how big the brim is and I think it is super cute, too. The best part is - no more sunburns!

This is my ideal hat for sun protection. I bought my first one 3 years ago, lost it, and had to replace it immediately. So I currently wear my 2nd one and have a 3rd one waiting in the wings. It's ideal because: UPF protection, width of brim blocks all but low angle sun, brim has just the right stiffness to not blow up in most winds yet doesn't hang in front of eyes and gives when pressed against, I like the blue color of my hat and the gray underneath the brim cuts down on reflection especially on the water, the elastic size adjuster keeps the fit just right (the store I buy from only carries the M size but I adjust the hat to fit my Sm-sized head), the chin strap is comfortable (no hard toggle) and works well, and the hat is lightweight yet sturdy. The only negative is that the blue does fade.

I am outdoors nearly every day and have had skin cancer on my face so if it's sunny, this is the hat I wear. I wear it when taking a walk, hiking, and paddling; all seasons in the south and the summer in the Rockies.

My dad bought this hat at REI last year and he loved it so much he insisted I pass on his review.

He uses the hat for gardening, which in the TN summer is hot, muggy, and SUNNY.

He bought a large size women's hat, which matches his large men's hat size.

The wide brim (4") provides great sun protection. The dome is breathable and light enough to keep you cool in the humid hot south. The sweat band keeps all but the worst sweat out of your eyes.

If you are looking for a hat to go with your carrot and cabbage picking, this is the way to go.
