  • Q:

can you help me with size. I am about 5.9 ft. and my chest size and waist size is about 38 inchs

    • A:

I am 5'5", 115lb. I wear the small. I would think that a medium would be perfect for your size and body weight.

Note, that the jacket is still a bit large on me, but that's due to my small stature rather than the jacket being oversized.

      A:

The Revel is a great all around rain jacket designed for light weight activities like backpacking and hiking. It would not fare as well during more robust activities like snowboarding or high alpine climbing.

  • Q:

Do your previous models of this jacket also have a Brushed tricot-lined collar? Also I'm a slim build but I'm 6'3" and wondering if a medium would work with arm length?
    Asked on 5/7/2012 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • Outdoor Research Employees

      A:

The Revel model has had the tricot line collar in the past as it does currently. At 6'3" the medium would likely be short in the arms and body for the medium. I would recommend going up to the large.

  • Q:

I'm looking to buy a rain jacket for backpacking. Should I get the revel jacket, or spend a little more for the foray jacket / what is the major difference?
    Asked on 4/29/2012 by Anonymous

    1 answer

    • Outdoor Research Employees

      A:

The Revel is made with a Pertex Shield DS fabric. It is a waterproof/breathable material as well. This jacket has more stretch than the Foray and has collar that can be folded into the hood.
