I really like the Acetylene Jacket. I got my first one about 6months ago and used it while climbing Mt Rainier. I kept my core warm while allowing my body to breath. The insulation in the front keeps you warm, but the back has stretch material that breaths. This prevented me from over heating and sweating out a bunch.

Now I have two of these jackets and used them all the time for b/c skiing, alpine climbing, ice climbing and just wearing them around town. Very comfortable layer to hang out it.

this is a great new product. It has just enough puff in the front to keep you warm, and the thin fleece in back lets heat dissipate better. I wore it hiking on a frosty November in the Great Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee, and I never overheated on the ups and downs, even though I was wearing a loaded backpack. The thumb loops are perfectly placed for me, so keeping my sleeves in place at my wrists doesn't pull or constrict the sleeves at my shoulders. The fit is trim enough to wear this under a shell- I can even layer my size Medium Acetylene under my close-fitting size Medium Ferrosi hoody without restricting my movements. If it had a l lightweight hood attached, it would be the perfect piece, but that's just my preference. I'm even more eager for the temps to drop, knowing I'll have this in my pack.
