      Comments about W's Virtuoso Jacket!":

Nothing screams cold like belaying your ice climbing partner in minus degree temps. The Virtuoso is my favorite belay jacket...keeps me warm, fits over my layers without feeling bulky, protects from the wind, is highly water resistant and rugged (hey, it hangs out with sharp, pointy objects!) I love that it compresses into itself (pocket) and that it is ready and willing to go anywhere with me!

I usually wear W's Smalls, but I ordered this one in a Medium to fit over everything while I'm climbing. I use this jacket as a belay parka ice climbing in New England. It is toasty warm and I love everything about it!

          Comments about W's Virtuoso Jacket!":

The Virtuoso has proven itself as a versatile jacket for keeping the Canadian bacon warm on different winter adventures. It was a toasty warm treat to pull out of the pack at ridge-top after several hours of knee deep trail breaking and also a lifesaver at belays while ice climbing in the bitter cold Canadian Rockies. It compresses so well and is light weight, there is no reason to leave home without it.

A mid-weight down jacket that boasts one of the best colour combinations out there (Turquoise/Peacock). I use this as a belay jacket on colder days when ice, mixed, or alpine climbing. The hood fits well over a helmet, and the double zipper allows easy access to your harness. On cold days you can leave it long and cover your hips, on warmer days you can cinch up the waistcord and sport the "bomber jacket" look.

              Comments about W's Virtuoso Jacket!":

, 650-fill down toaster quickly became my best friend for mountain climbs on Shasta, Adams, and the high Sierras, for overnight backcountry trips on the PCT, and during one especially chilly coastal hike on Damnation Creek. Never did it fail to wrap me in much needed warmth and super stylish comfort. The body shell fabric is a totally windproof and highly breathable 20-denier ripstop polyester, and the Pertex Endurance on the shoulders and sleeves is surprisingly water-resistant. On misty and drizzly days, water beaded right off so there was no need to stop and add a shell. I'm a cold sleeper and loved wearing it to bed on many nights or sometimes stuffed it into its own hand warmer pocket (there are two) instead to make it an excellent camp pillow. The fully-insulated hood is among the best I've seen; it's helmet compatible but has both side and back adjustments that cinch it down snug over a cap. The fit is generous enough to accommodate layers underneath yet still showed off my feminine curvature

                Comments about W's Virtuoso Jacket!":

I have not been able to part with it. Without understanding precisely the specifications I needed, I bought this jacket as soon as it became available. It won't be quite right for the extreme cold of my upcoming adventure and I didn't get the color I really wanted (blue wasn't available yet). Once I wore it, it became my cold weather favorite. It is weightless, warm, and allows for movement. The longer length is great for keeping the core toasty. It packs down very small.

                  Comments about W's Virtuoso Jacket!":

I took this jacket up Mt. Rainier and was so glad I had it. It's the perfect jacket to throw on while taking a break or hanging out on the summit. It compresses down pretty small which made this a natural choice when choosing a down jacket for my climbing kit. I've normally used the Aria hoody, but didn't think it was warm enough for a climb like Rainier. This jacket is a nice step up from the Aria in warmth - I highly recommend this product.

You can try using a techwash (such as products that Nixwax makes) with a toothbrush on the stain. In general try to protect your technical fabrics, as they will function best when clean and well stored.

                      A:

Yes, the Virtuoso is washable. There are many companies that make a down wash that works great! Check out those, and follow the instructions on the bottle as they very from product to product.
