This jacket gives you full water-proof protection and can be used in cold - warm temperatures given the full side zips. Small and compact to take along all your wilderness trips. A well-cut design that can also be used in the urban environment.

is this jacket specifically to be used as rainwear, or can it be used as a lightweight windbreaker type of jacket?

  It is a rain jacket but it also windproof. It will not breath like a light wind breaker will though.

  The hood was not designed to fit over a helmet, so it will most likely be smaller, but if you have the option, bring your helmet when you try on the jacket. Thanks for your question Sara!
