Adjustable fit = perfect fit

Pros

  • Fit
  • Length
  • Pockets
  • Temperature regulation

Cons

  • Crampon protection

Best Uses

  • Backcountry skiing
  • Climbing
  • Expedition
  • Hiking

Just wore these pants for 19 days in a row in Denali and I love them. I have a 32 inch inseam, and usually buy men's medium pants. This is the first pair of women's soft shell pants I have come across that fit my size 6-8 waist and provide the proper length. There is Velcro on both sides of the waist which allow for different shaped waists; I was able to adjust mine perfectly. The pants were cool when I was working hard, and warm/wind resistant when I needed protection. They were easy to layer under and over. The inner ankle reinforced fabric is potentially too short - could go a little higher up the leg; I have two crampon slits about 1-2 inches above where it ends on each inner pant leg. Other than that, loved the pants. There is also a really great right leg pocket about halfway down on the back/side of the leg - great for maps, pocket knives, fork, chap-stick, etc., and even when contents are bulky, it does not annoy you or rub your leg when working hard. I highly recommend these pants.

Pros

  • Fits well in a medium
  • Good Length
  • Light color is cooler
  • Not too low waisted
  • Perfect Pockets
  • Sturdy

Cons

    Best Uses

    • Spring or summer skiing

Thanks so much OR for finally putting out a great summer/spring ski pants! As much as I love low waisted jeans etc. it is nice to have a bit of a higher waist so when I bend over I don't freeze my back. The weight is so perfect for spring, and yet I still have room for a lightweight long undies if needed. Shed water really well. Love all the pockets, and yet they aren't too obtrusive. The pants fit perfectly over my beefy AT boots. I was skeptical of the lighter barley color, but I can tell they keep me cooler and I feel kinda hip in that color. Great cuff guards around the ankles. I do have longish legs (31-32) and these are plenty long. They are a little tight around my middle, but I've eaten too many muffins this winter. These pants are super! I've owned about five other pairs of lightweight ski pants from the full spectrum of outdoor companies and these are the best.

      Hi there,

I'm about a size 10 (29"-30" waist) and am debating between a size M and size L. Recommendations with the Cirque pant...

      Thanks so much!

        A:

Hey - thanks for your question!

The cirque pant is a 'trim fit' and most of our female line runs a little bit smaller, thus if you account for layering too I would suggest the L.

        Have a great day!
