Best ski jacket yet (Review by Merlene)

I have had this jacket for almost 12 months now and skied about 60 days in it, in New Zealand and Canada. I have skied in torrential rain and stayed completely dry. The side pockets get wet inside, but I haven't had a jacket yet, where the pocket zips are 100% waterproof. The hood is roomy and fits well over my helmet, still allowing good peripheral vision when skiing. The grid backing makes it much warmer than a conventional shell jacket.
The only failure on the jacket, was that the wire in the hood rim broke in 4 places. OR have offered to replace the jacket in the fall, but I'm not sure that is necessary. I have now removed the wire, so it doesn't put holes in the fabric. I will try it without the wire.
All in all, the best jacket I have had in 36 years of skiing, and I only purchase top gear for severe weather conditions.
