I work outside and well let's just say it has to be below freezing for me to wear the wind pro. This hat is awesomely warm if not hot. I've been in negative weather with a strong windchill and could not even feel the slightest chill on my head. In fact I have actually sweated in this hat in negative weather due to how warm it is. But this is just for me as I run a little more hot blooded that most, I would recommend though, the price is great for the quality you get.

I own 2 of these. They are great hats, but I have modified both. I personally do not like the extra fleece ear band inside the hat. So, I simply removed them, and it makes the hat much better in my opinion.I love the WindPro fleece material...so it does not need the additional fleece ear band.

This is THE only hat I wear in winter time, no doubt this is the best I've used. As long as the temp is in single digit this will deliver the perfect winter regulating cover for my head. I have both coyote and all black one, depends on my job I choose the color. I LOVE the fact it has no logo on it, so it looks like any cheap hat, but inside is awesome high-tech warm head. awesome.

Love this hat. Warm, durable, compact, hat that you can stretch to cover your head as needed. This hat is always with me Fall through Spring. I liked it so much that I bought one to use at work and one for home/play. Hat compresses tightly to ft in a same space in your pack or pocket. The hat is made of windproof and fleece. The OR symbol is reflective.

I often have a hardtime with hats. Im always taking them off and putting them back on again. They are either too hot or not breathable enough. I have a mountain hardwear and an outdoor research hat made with gore windstopper. They are great for when its super cold or windy but I find them too hot for snowshoeing and hiking. The OR Wind Pro hat solves the issue. I can put this hat on at the trailhead and leave it on the rest of the trip. The wind pro fleece blocks just enough wind to take the edge off while increasing the breathability of the hat. I do sweat in this hat when the going gets quick BUT it breathes well enough that it dries fast. The snug fit is great as the hat doesnt fall down over your eyes or get pulled off by a stray branch or gust of wind. However, the snug fit may also be too snug for some. I find it just right. Easiest way to summarize would be to say that its a self regulating hat. Perfect. I find myself wearing it more and more each day for trips to the store or to walk the dog as well. Time to buy a few more as backups.

I have owned this beanie for just over ten years.I alpine ski with this hat in all conditions.I run 5k three times a week in this hat in all weather conditions and it still looks like new. This hat can not be beat.I'm buying more just so I don't have to wash it as often. The hard outer surface allows water and snow to just slide off.

This is my "go to" hat. I have multiple pairs of these hats in black. Very comfortable, great fit and warm. I use this hat for everything when it is cold. I have the Michael Jordan hairstyle and live in northern Colorado. The fit and style are great for wear in town when going out, paired with a peacoat or leather coat.
