- Not what I had hoped. (Review by Mike)
I bought these gloves from my local outfitter last week. I was looking for a pair of mid weight gloves I could carry around in my jacket pocket that would be warm and offer some wind protection. When I tried them on in the store I really liked the wool lining, the leather palms and the overall fit. However after a couple of walks outside on a local trail with my dog I soon learned that these gloves are not warm at all. In addition, they offer little wind protection. I've used the twice in about 28 degree weather. With no wind the warmth is acceptable, but throw in a little windchill and you may as we'll be wearing a fleece glove. On a positive note, I did use these out in the snow with my kids and they took on almost no moisture after packing snowballs for an hour. I guess I'm just not sure what the purpose of these gloves is? They are not really that light and I have lighter weight gloves that are much warmer. They are not waterproof, although they don't claim to be. They offer little protection from the wind so they can really be used as a shell glove even if you wore an extra insulating glove liner. The previous poster noted that he was putting these gloves to the test in Utah. Good luck! All I can say is that if you were out on a trail in Michigan and a storm came in you would be in trouble if this was your only pair of gloves. Overall, just not the performance I had hoped for, especially for the price.

- GREAT backcountry ski gloves (Review by Utah Avalanche Center)
We have a team of people all using and abusing these gloves in the snow. Love the wool lining.
