- Solid Construction (Review by Jansen)
The short version is great for those that hate having the extra length at the bottom that inevitably gets chewed up after a season or two. I am 5'9'' 170lbs average build with 33 inch waist and 32 inseam. I have to wear a belt with them but they do not bunch up in the waist. I can walk barefoot in them without the cuffs dragging. although they do have a nice cinch cord at the bottom the short version prevents a baggy/saggy look while wearing which I prefer. overall construction is very high quality.

- Dig em (Review by Mike)
I enjoy these pants. I am 5' 4", bought them at a 32, a tad loose after a day of wear. Love the packability, love the look, love how they handle weather.
LIKE: shortness, packability, moisture handling, temperature management.
DO NOT LIKE: after a month of climbing the pocket on the right thigh has come unglued, probably going to remove the pocket or send them back - this is the first failure of any OR product i've had.
ON THE FENCE ABOUT: fabric is thin, breaths well and isn't hot but is wearing quickly - time will tell if it is too thin or if heavier pants are too hot.

- Great pants (Review by josh b)
Great pants, they fit great and look good. I am 5'9" 165 and the 32 are right on. I am buying another pair of pants in the other color now!

- Randy Newman's Demise (Review by Bob M)
Yes--a super pair of pants for short people! Well, actually I'm 5'8" but have a 28 1/2" inseam and am soooo tired of paying to have pants shorted. These pants have well thought out features: pockets in the right place, nice choice of fabric weight, soft feel but durable, nice cut while allowing tremendous freedom of movement., and drawstring on the leg bottom to raise them into knickers.
Two wishes: a similar pair in slightly heavier fabric for fall/spring temps and more pants available with a short inseam

- Would be absolutely perfect if had odd sizes (Review by Maui Boy)
Tried these pants out for hiking/camping in wet warm to hot weather. They performed wonderfully in 2 days of nearly constant light to moderate rain. So stretchy and comfortable, and either shed all the rain, or dried nearly instantly when they got wet. Wifey says they look pretty good as well. Short length worked perfectly as I usually wear 30" jeans/pants. True to size. But they would be absolutely perfect if they came in odd sizes. at 5'7" 152#, the 30's are too tight, the 32's too loose. So I'm rocking the 32's with a belt. Works well, but for lightweight technical pants, I didn't really want to have to wear a belt. Amazing pants.

- Nice pants (Review by jclimb1)
Nice lightweight softshell paints with good features for a great price. These pants with other names on them would easily cost twice as much. Thanks for making them in a short version. My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the design of the pants, is that I thought they would be a bit thicker.

- Men's Ferrosi Pants (short) (Review by By JTree Dave)
After nearly 15 years of either climbing in shorts or jeans, I have finally found a pair of pants that will be the only thing I ever climb in ever again!Wether I'm sport climbing in Kentucky, on a run-out trad line in Joshua Tree, or cranking on plastic at Planet Rock... I will be wearing these! I'm tall and lean, and they fit perfect. I love a bit of protection in having my knees covered... in the event of some gravely climbing, or a slip up in the gym.I can't emphasize enough how comfortable these are. The stretchiness is just enough to give me FULL range of motion with my knees, hips, etc... No more reaching down to hike up the jeans before a high step. Most importantly... I don't have to change before heading out for some beers after climbing!
