- Great all-around layer (Review by Noah)
I've had the Radiant Hybrid hoody for about a year and a half now and have been continually impressed with its performance in a variety of conditions. It's my go-to outer layer for just about anything active- mountain biking, hiking, climbing, walking the dog, XC skiing. It's also worked great as a mid-layer for colder weather pursuits. There has been some minor pilling of the underarm fabric, but even after almost daily use, the rest of the jacket looks almost brand new. This is the jacket I find myself reaching for on almost every trip. Thanks for a great product OR!

- Great hoodie with some odd design choices (Review by BV)
I haven't used this for much other than a few runs to the story as of yet, but it's been working great as a base / mid layer so far.
Let me elaborate on what I think are the odd design choices:
- The fit is odd. I'm average-athletic build, 5'8" / 170lbs. The small fits sort-of okay. The arms are both a bit large and long. Though both the chest and abdominal area are extremely slim. Almost as if this was designed for someone who was really skinny but had hulk-like arms. Because of the fit, this is definitely not an around-town hoodie.
- The way the zipper comes up to the side is odd. I've seen other hoodies that do this, but they go far enough to the side to stay out of the way of your mouth. The zipper on this hoodie doesn't zip to the side enough, and just kind of comes up to the side of your mouth instead, which is a bit annoying. It would have almost been better to just leave it centered.
Other than those two problems, I think this is an all around great hoodie that is a fine alternative to some of the others out there.

- Men's Radient Hybrid Hoody (Review by kevin)
This hoody was bought to use as layer under the Foray jacket. Learned quickly the side panel material that covers the sides of the torso wear very quickly as the Foray jacket's side vent zippers rub while in use. Also when in motion the wearer's inner arms and torso sides are high friction areas. The friction caused the material to wear out very quickly. Quick as in 2 days there is visible pilling and loops. As a light layer on its own it was great. The moment you use any un-shielded zippered shell on top, the side panels will wear out fast. Can only suggest to use more durable material for the side panels...Hope the replacement Starfire Hoody OR sent is more durable.

- Favorite Clothing Item (Review by Scott)
These hoodies and they just never seem to wear out. I use them for anything from skiing, chopping wood, hanging out around town and cold dark morning workouts in Seattle. The Radiant Hoody cleans up well and you can sneak them into the business world as needed too. As discussed they basically they don't wear out, and you can wear them for most aspects of life so I have been forced to buy several of these in various colors mostly to prove to others that I actually do change my clothes.

- Won over (Review by Jacob)
I was skeptical of this when I got it because the trim fit made me look a little like the silver surfer (my color selection contributed to that obviously). After 3 hard years of wear, I have to admit that this is a great piece of gear. It was my go-to insulation during my winter bike commute, for day hikes, and when i got sick in the middle of the night and wanted to zip into a hood that would make me feel safe and warm. I still don't wear it around town casually due to the very trim cut, but it has an earned place in my adventures wardrobe.

- Perfect for active layering (Review by Ben)
This has become my go to for cold weather active pursuits. I have used it as a single layer for skate skiing in the 20s and teens. It breathes very well and has some moderate wind-blocking. It is also a great layer and is clearly designed to be one. I wouldn't mind a slightly tighter hood(as one of the reviewers mentioned) and some zip hand pockets(but that might make it less ideal for layering under a harness or other activities).
Overall, I love it and I am going to pick up another I always have one available!

- WAS great... (Review by ddoppler)
So, I have one of these that I wear constantly, purchased in 2013. The perfect layer... warm, great fitted cut and an AWESOME scarf-like neck when fully zipped up. I wear it so much I had to get another one. Unfortunately, one of the best features of this garment has been changed. The 2014 version does not have the same snug fit around the neck. This causes the jacket to fit poorly and create drafts around the neck. Was super disappointed in the most recent version of the jacket. If it wasn't for this change, this would be a 5 star review! To see the difference I'm talking about, compare the jacket fully zipped up, hoods on, on the two models in the pictures. The Glacier/Abyss, non-mustache guy is wearing the old cut, the Dusk/Night mustachioed guy is wearing the new cut. It is a large difference. I believe the pics of the jackets only to be the old cut. Huge fan of the old cut... please bring it back, OR!!
OR devotee... keep making great gear! Cheers!

- Perfect Mid-Layer (Review by Moritz)
I currently own two Radiant Hoodies and have used them for all of my outings. From Big Walls to Snowboarding and Ice Climbing this mid-layer does a superb job. It keeps me warm and is yet breathable. The material is very durable and doesn´t get holes easily. I can easily change the temperature by putting on the hood and the thumb-things on the sleeves. Once I need more ventilation, I take the hood of and free my arms. It really makes a difference. The cut fits me perfectly (170lbs, 5.11), it´s snug! The pocket is at the right spot and the zippers are of very high quality. Get one!

- THUMBS UP FOR THIS HOODY (Review by Blake)
Wow, What a perfect layer! It is super lightweight yet toasty. It fits snug but moves perfectly with me as I climb. The hood fits very nicely under my helmet. So comfy I want to wear it all the time, and I do! I have put it through the paces while climbing, boarding, biking, hiking; and did I mention climbing? It has withstood the punishment I inflict on my gear. I don't know anyone that is harder on their gear than I am, I DESTROY gear, but the Radiant Hybrid Hoody is totally unfazed by my attacks! I love mine, get some! OR rules!

- Great layer addition (Review by Dale)
The RHH is part of what I consider the ideal OR layering system: The echo, RHH, Axiom and filament. This thing breaths well, has the hood for if the ascent gets windy and cold [or saving weight by leaving the hat in the car], and the chest pocket for your electronics of choice, thumb holes keep the arms in place for when it gets chilly. Full zip is personally preferred, but I know some like the half zip. The hood will fit tight under a climbing helmet if it's cold, or stretch over the top for when you're swapping leads requiring fast and easy on/off. In all, a very good competitor to the benchmark R1 hoody from Patagonia. Would love to see some similar features - namely a little extra fabric on the torso to ensure the garment stays tucked, but I still wear this thing all the time.
I'm 6'1", 185 lb, 43" chest, neutral ape index. The medium fits like it was custom tailored for me.

- NIce mid layer (Review by Jason )
This is a great mid layer. I wear it for every activity (i.e. rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, and social events).

- The piece I can't live with out (Review by Michael)
It feels like OR designed this fleece specifically for me and my needs. The fit is superior as well as the construction. I spent most of last year traveling and climbing rock and ice in Korea and this fleece handled everything from protecting me during cheese grater falls on alpine granite slab to shed water on early season ice routes. It has a perfect mix of wind protection and moisture wicking properties as well as feeling like a second skin that moves fluidly with the body never impeding movement. I love it. Oh and did I mention how wonderful the hood is with the off center zipper, IE no more chaffing on your chin. There is one thing I don't like about this fleece; now I don't like any of my other fleeces.

- Awesome hoody (Review by Clayton)
I love this hoody so much that I got a second one... even though I didn't need it. Just as good as a Patagonia R1 or similar layer... which is a crucial, versatile layer. Has always been great for climbing, skiing, hiking and everything else. Top notch!

- Men's Radiant Hybrid Hoody (Review by By Christian Gennerman)
I love the Hybrid for everyday use. It's light and not bulky so I'm always wearing it. Hence the reason I have lost two of these alreayd. It's an atheltic fit and a great layering piece but I love to wear it as a stand alone for chilly mornings in the fall and spring. If you're looking for a piece as staple this is it..it looks good and feels great!

- Men's Radiant Hybrid Hoody (Review by By Scott the mountain man)
I use this product as a layering peice. It is exceptionally breathable, so best suited to intense activity when used as an outer layer. I have used this on its own down to 0 deg C running. This hoody drys quickly, is well made and durable, stretches nicely and comfortable. I love the tight fitting hood. Not the warmest fleece due to the thinner material around sides and arms, so if your not going to be active while wearing it don't get it. The only negative is that the chest pocket zip is just a touch too small, especially if wearing thin gloves. OR is quickly becoming my favourite best value outdoor clothing brand.

- Men's Radiant Hybrid Hoody (Review by By meado)
I needed a midweight layer, that layer you always wear, because my last one was wearing out. This has fit the bill. I have been impresed not only with the warmth, under a thin wind layer it has kept me warm at elevation when a spring ski day turns cold. I have not overheated at times i thought i may have. In particular skining, biking and running on cold mornings it is great in the scenario of going uphill starting to get the sweat on but leveling out and not getting too hot. I guess one word describes it breathability. Quick on and off is nice.

- Men's Radiant Hybrid Hoody (Review by By Graham Bagman)
I'm in love with my Radiant Hybrid Hoody. It might be one of the best gifts I've ever gotten. I got to replace a bright red pullover, and I've forgotten all about the old thing. I wear it as a tech layer when I go climbing, I wear it when I walk the dog, and I find myself reaching for it before pretty much anything else. The color and the full zip really set it apart. I sweat when I'm moving, and the versatility in being able to open the Radiant all the way makes all the difference for me. The color, well, maybe I'm boring, but the grey color fits my wardrobe and doesn't look terrible when it's overdue for a wash. I also love the fit. As the song goes, I work out. This is not made for a fat schlub. I love that it doesn't make me look like one. The only thing I'd like to see different is I'd like a bigger zipper on the chest pocket. The small one on the hoody is cool and ninja, but I'm a klutz and I'm a bit afraid of breaking it.
