Men's Alibi Pants™

Style# 56115OR

Designed using feedback from the IFMGA Test Team, the Alibi Pants are our top-of-the-line, purpose-built ice climbing pants. Ventia Hybrid™ soft shell construction provides protection from wind, snow and rain, allows for high breathability where body heat builds, and offers stretch for athletic movement. The ice-climbing-specific tapered fit and scuff guards prevent crampons from catching, puncturing or tearing excess fabric at the cuff, allowing you to focus on placing your next piece of gear.

Men's Alibi Pants™ (Review by By phill the fish)

I have an older version of the Alibi (no adjustable waist, lace hook or boot cinch). They were great for ice climbing in the Cascades, only eaccumulated three small crampons holes above the protected area. I no longer ice climb but these pants live on as my prefered pant for both downhill skiing and snow camping in all but the wettest conditions (for which I switch to Goretex). For skiing, the thigh pocket is a perfect size for trail maps and is in a convenient location to access when riding a chair lift. The waterproof seat keeps me dry on chairlifts and the pant cuffs fit snuggly over my boots. These pants are usually warm enough by themselves, but if it is particularly cold I layer with lightweight polypro longjohns. They also breath well enough that I don't overheat during apres ski activities or when driving. The only downside to my pants is that I have a 35" waist so purchased the Large size, they are loose enough around my waist that I use with suspenders (but as the newer version has an adjustable waist this may no longer be an issue).

Men's Alibi Pants™ (Review by By Moboy56)

this is one tough, warm, pair of pants! i hooked my crampons in them twice and all i got was a very small, easy to repair hole out of the deal. it could have been disastorous with other pants. i wore expedition weight long under wear, and combined with the fleece lining in these pants i was never even close to being cold. we waded through snow, glasaded and climbed ice for 3 days and these pants were ideal. bottom line,, buy them you won't be disapointed.

Men's Alibi Pants™ (Review by By Joe the Mountain Man)

I have been using these daily for a month above 10,000 ft with temperatures ranging for -30 F to +30 F. They are incredibly comfortable and easy to wear in this changing climate. I have been able to skip wearing gators in all but the deepest snows, and have never felt constrained or binded making any move.
