The large circumference provides more room for plastic mountaineering boots and heavily insulated pants, and the inside leg of each gaiter is made of durable Cordura® fabric to prevent crampon snagging and puncturing when you're high in the mountains.

    When I am not in extreme conditions. Will these gaiters fit with regular (mid) hiking boots too, or only with mountaineering boots and or a plastic boot. I am looking for a well rouned gaiter that I can use in extreemes and mild snow conditions with different boots.

      A:

      The Expedition Crocodiles are sized a little roomier to accommodate larger style boots like mountaineering or plastics but they can also be used with a much broader range of regular styled hiking boots. It is relevant to the actual size of the boot rather than over specific conditions that the gaiter could be used for.
