Work great for hiking in snow or in snowshoes, just more difficult to keep snug enough for my skinny calves. Ordered by shoe size but maybe should have ordered smaller size. Made rugged enough for me.

What's the best way to pack gaiters (i.e. backpacking)? I wasn't sure if folding them would weaken the fabric (?)

  Packing the gaiters will not weaken the fabric. They are designed to be packed and will withstand folding/storing in your pack while not in use.

Hi! I'm a woman who just bought the M's Alpine Crocodile size M. I wear a women's size 10, men's size 8 1/2 to 9. after bringing them home, I realized that they are too tight around my calves. Is the calf circumference of the women's gaiters any larger proportionally than that of the M's versions? what would the calf circumference of a large W's verglas gaiter be?

Q:
I just purchased the size small W's Verglas seem very short on my calf and hit just at the fullest part of my calf, so I concerned that they will not stay up once I start wearing them on the trail. I wear a 37 boot -- would the Medium size be taller and a better fit? Or perhaps the men's small would be a better fit? And are the Crocs taller than the Verglas?

  You would fall in the size small with your shoe size, however if you did decide to go up to a Medium, they would be about 1'' longer.
