      Comments about Furio Jacket!":

the furio jacket is one excellent combination of materials and design. I was looking for a jacket that would stand up to the heavy rain on the trail yet wouldn't be so heavy and bulky that I wouldn't want to carry it. well the furio hit that mark. the paclite body is excellent and have yet to bleed after many hours and trips in rain. It breathes really well too. the hem zippers from pit to waist are awesome for poncho style draping the jacket over your pack. the pro shell shoulders keep the rain out under the weight of a full pack, which was a problem i found with other jackets. its a durable shell for what it is too i tend to take on a little extra weight in my gear if it means it'll be more durable in the field. it hasn't pulled yet after encountering many bushes and branches that would see the material rip. the higher pockets are nice because they're still accessible over a harness when you're climbing. and the nice little OR touches like articulated arms, helmet compatible adjustable hood round out his jacket. I am 6'3" and 210lbs. the large fits me just like i want it too. enough room for a base and mid layer without any extra bulk. the sleeves also fit my long arms so that made me happy :) all in all my go to shell for any outdoor activity. If you need a do it all and come back for more shell this is it.

        Comments about Furio Jacket!":

I have rode mountain bike trails, climbed frozen waterfalls, and climbed big rocks in this thing and it has held up perfectly over the last 6 months. Being winter, I wear the thing ever day over a softshell and it still looks brand new. Stylish, comfortable, and impervious to rain / wind.

          Comments about Furio Jacket!":

I've had this jacket on a number of backpacking/backcountry excursions and it has held up very well. In fact, it still looks practically new.

It keeps me dry when it's raining and it keeps me warm when it's windy, just as a good hardshell should. As with any Gore-Tex product it's not overly breathable during heavy physical activity, but the full length side zips are a big plus.

I'm 5'11" and the medium fits perfectly with a good amount of room underneath for layers. Great jacket that will continue to find its way into my pack.

          Comments about Furio Jacket!":

I'm a skinny guy with long arms (+6" index) and this is one of the few jackets I've been able to get that fits in both the body and the arms. The sleeve ends have a great detail that they taper from the inside to the outside so people with shorter arms will find the sleeves don't get in the way and people with long arms will still find adequate length. All in all this is a very thoughtfully designed jacket with several really useful details. It has the full zip seams on the side so backpacking in the rain is great, you can wear it like a poncho, cover your straps and keep moving. Important for this rainy part of the country. I've used it for wet road bike rides and found it breathable enough to handle a high level of aerobic activity. This is one of those don't leave home without it jackets.

            Comments about Furio Jacket!":

This jacket is incredible in snow and water. The hood and wrists are adjustable so you can tighten them down to keep the water out. The mix of Paclite and Pro Shell are awesome. The jacket is kept light while still being very abrasion resistant where you need it to be. The TorsoFlo zips are incredible and makes backpacking in the rain fun! The only downside I noticed is it can feel a little "boxy" and the sleeves are kind of baggy. It's great for fitting layers underneath, but it doesn't have the slim athletic fit other shells have. Other than that, the jacket is unstoppable.

              Comments about Furio Jacket!":

Our rescue team wanted a team jacket that could handle the rigors of mountain rescue. After a long search, we selected the Furio. It is light enough to bring along "just in case". When the mountain dumps on us, it keeps us dry despite the ugly conditions we routinely operate in. When the time came to make the purchase, every member happily ponied up the cash. After a full year of use, the jackets still look like new, perform like new, and show no signs of abuse from the heavy loads, dense brush, and abrasive rock that we encounter on every mission.

                Comments about Furio Jacket!":

I have taken this shell on many adventures and it has never let me down. It has been packn w me many times in pouring rain for days at a a time and I have stayed bone dry. It's light enough to throw in my pack even if I don't think I will need it. On a 5 day trip in Arkansas it rained the whole time my buddies other brand gore tex jacket had soaked through but I was dry and warm in my furio. So good I bought the pants too, but that's another review!

                    A:

The difference will be in the Gore-tex fabric. The Furio is made with a combination of Paclite and Proshell Gore-tex. The more durable Proshell will be on the arms and shoulders, the lighter weight Paclight is on the body and hood . The Mentor is made with just Gore-tex Proshell.

I just received the furio jacket and i'm very pleased with the fit and quality of the workmanship. The only concern i have is that the zippers are quite stiffer and require more force to move than any other jacket i own, including OR revel jacket(which is outstanding) Is this normal. Thank you very much.

What would be a good softshell to pair this with? I am looking for a system that will work for all seasons. A good outershell that I can wear by itself when it is raining or cool out as well as pair it with a softshell for those cold winter days where I can keep the wind, water and cold out. I am 5'10", 200Lbs and don't want something that will be bulky when layering or be baggy when worn by itself. Thanks.
