  • Q:

I'm looking to buy a rain jacket for backpacking. Should I get the revel jacket, or spend a little more for the foray jacket / what is the major difference?

      A:

The Revel is made with a Pertex Shield DS fabric. It is a waterproof/breathable material as well. This jacket has more stretch than the Foray and has collar that can be folded into the hood.

      A:

The Revel has double sliding TorsoFlo hem to bicep zippers so that feature can certainly be used for pit circulation, it has hand pockets but they are slightly higher than you would probably expect, if you look at the picture on the site you should notice two flaps on either side of the chest area about halfway up the jacket, these are there the pockets are

  • Q:

What in the heck is a double sliding wate?

    • Outdoor Research Employees

      A:

Sorry thats a typo on the website, what it should say is double sliding TorsoFlo hem to bicep ventilation, which just means there is a zipper at the hem and at the bicep to adjust how much side ventilation you want and precisely where you want it
