- Simply the best amount of insulation I've found (Review by t.Bone)
I've found other down jackets can be too much fill at times and some can make you feel as if you need a little more. This is my second season on this jacket and I absolutely love it. Appears brand new with near daily use November-March. I live in higher elevation and commute to Denver daily so I see a good temp swing up and down the mountain which calls for insulation a solid chunk of the year. I've tried other brands and fills of many jackets but truly find this one to be about perfect for what I'm after. When I travel to the frozen tundra of Minnesota (most of the time unwillingly) I always bring this puffy along as it compresses down to a baseball when needed. This is my go-to jacket on most winter days!

- Great Jacket! (Review by flannelfisk)
Winter is coming to the Northwoods and this jacket has kept me extremely comfortable thus far. I love the fit and the feel. Has been a wonderful pillow and evening/morning layer on overnight trips. I get moving, and it gets warm fast.

I have used this jacket camping, rock climbing and just for general everyday use during a Kansas winter. I absolutely love the fit of this jacket and how it is slim enough to fit under a soft shell. This jacket will keep you super warm while on belay and easily stuffs into the smallest of areas. This jacket can be a bit drafty during high winds so beware if you do not have a windstopper over it.

Light, compressible, warm and snug. This is a must have in your pack if you want to keep things light but stay warm out there. Read the full review at [@]

It is perfect for wearing in Minnesota in January... its -20 windchill right now and with a fleece underneath you don't need anything else. It is quite breathable and very comfortable, the hood is awesome, it cinches perfectly around my head and ears. The jacket is ridiculously packable, in fact the way it packs down is perfect for a pillow. It looks sweet and the 650 fill is just fine and it keeps the price down compared to 800 fill. I will continue to buy my gear from OR because it is a great company.

I've been a down sweater fan for years. This is my first OR though. I've had it for about a week and haven't taken it off. I've climbed ice and plastic, layered it under a shell for a cold day in the back-country and worn it as an outer layer at the resort.Hood fits over my climbing helmet nicely and the DWR works like magic. Buy One.

- Men's Transcendent Hoody (Review by By Oregon's warmest)
This jacket is perfect for the in between times when it isn't full blown freezing out but there is a definite chill in the air. With a soft or hard shell layered over top then it becomes a perfect jacket for the gnarly weather that winter might throw at you while trying to climb, ski, or just chilling in your local blizzard. When it comes down to it nothing can beat the feeling of being hugged by a bunch of geese all rolled up into this sweet jacket.

Great light weight warmth for any winter adventure. No reason to leave it at home it's so light and compressible. Awesome for layering on very cold days too.
