While guiding winter trips in Montana, I love these pants. I can ski or hike all day while wearing my shell and when I get to camp I just zip these on right over the shell and I am cozy all night. They pack small and weigh little. I can't believe I went so many years without this layer.

          Comments about M's Neoplume Pants!":

I bought these pants to wear under a GORE TEX pant in the winter to add warmth, and to leave on when crawling into a tent in the winter after taking my snowy outer layer off. I actually now wear them around town in the winter, shoveling snow off the driveway, well you name it. They are warm and super lightweight. love love love them.

          Comments about M's Neoplume Pants!":

I fell in love with these pants pretty quickly climbing in the cold dark grotto of East Vail's Amphitheater in Colorado. It's bloody cold up there (by Colorado standards), and sees no sun whatsoever. The long mixed routes separated by no hands rests in the middle make for long belay sessions. These pants make the experience completely tolerable. Also great if you are standing around teaching clinics, guiding, or going to a outside party in winter. The fact that they are light makes the reasonable to take along in your pack. That light material likely wouldn't hold up to much abuse if you tried climbing in them on say Birdbrain Blvd in Ouray. Of course they weren't designed for that so it doesn't come as a big surprise. I would highly suggest buying these for your girlfriend/wife if you're hoping to get them into ice climbing. That's the only way you'll be able to get them to put up with belaying your slow booty (censored by the system) more than once. :-)

              Thanks for your question!

The Alibi softshell pant is our 'trim fit' while the Neoplume is a standard fit. It's safe to say the medium Neoplumes should fit over your medium Alibis.

Question about fit, I'm in-between sizes, I don't know your brand but in general I'm waist size 30" sometimes 31", once again depending on the brand, and my inseam is 30. Does any of your employees have similar measurements? Did they buy the size small or medium? Or is there anyone out there who knows the answer? Thanks.

No, the size small will not fit you if you are waist 30 or 31, I'm Jeans waist 30 in a couple different brands and this pants in small where very tight I thought they would be roomier since they are an outer layer but not, I did not have the chance to try the size Medium yet.

It sounds like you would most likely fit into a size small, based on our sizing guide and your measurements.

Thanks for your question, the Neoplume pants are designed with what we call a standard fit. So they will fit over hiking pants and some soft-shell pants.
