- poor fit (Review by Sam)
Under jacket tile it says, "be the first to review this product" but I see there are many reviews, all good which surprises me, because I think this jackets fits poorly. Like on the model, it fits short in the arms as well as the torso: I'm 5'6/125#. The collar is too tall which is a nuisance. I need a new coat.

- AWESOME fit and small sizing! (Review by Cel)
I don't usually write reviews, especially not having had the chance to really put this jacket through its paces, but am so impressed I wanted to make a comment In case I forget later.
Thank you thank you thank you OR, FINALLY an x-small jacket made with x-small proportions! I LOVE the elastic on the cuffs, there isn't tons of extra fabric folded up under the Velcro letting water in, and the sleeves aren't 5 inches too long bunching up unneeded at my hand. The hem length is also perfect, hits just below my butt which is great for cycling and additional coverage, but isn't so long as to feel like I'm wearing a dress. I'm 5ft tall (95#) the x-small can fit a down jacket + fleece underneath, but doesn't look huge with just a t-shirt.
Other greats things: great ventilation options(pockets are backed with mesh so theoretically would also vent), double zippers on the front opening and also pit/hip ventilation. All the zippers feel sturdy. Seam taping all looks smooth and well done, there are also minimal logos and stitching (many other jackets have lots of logos and stitching which then require seam tape to make waterproof). When folded into the pocket, there is a small loop so you can hang the stuffed jacket from a harness/backpack. The hood didn't fit great over my bicycle helmet (didn't try a climbing helmet) but the cut is nice enough that it fit well under the helmet and I could turn my head in all directions and visibility wasn't affected.
The only negative thing I can say about this jacket is that the storm flaps behind the pit/hip vents aren't made with the gore-tex material. I read numerous reviews saying this jacket is stellar in even the hardest rainstorm so maybe I'm just being paranoid, but since the pit/hip zippers don't look to be the water resistant type, it seems odd that the storm flap isn't made from gore-tex. I'll have to wait for it to rain to really test this out, but so far I'm in love! As long as it doesn't leak this is officially my new favorite jacket and I will be looking at buying outdoor research gear first before looking into other brands.

- be the coolest kid on the trail (Review by catcat)
I have owned this jacket for 2.5 years now and have taken it to Peru, Costa Rica and Iceland. I have backpacked with this jacket and used it in city travel. It packs very small into it's own pocket. This jacket is amazing! It functions well in all environments. On the coldest of days I put a base layer, vest and 800 fill down under it and it wind / water proofs me and on the hottest of rainy days I have a t-shirt on and unzip the sides all the way to the arm so that I am dry and cool. I love the arm pocket for quick grab cash and a small stash of toilet paper or tea bag for a warm drink on the trail. The hood has great adjustments to fit my head with an awesome broad visor to keep the rain out of my face and still let me see. I love this jacket so much I just bought the men's foray for my brother!
You literally can't go wrong with this jacket:D

- Great Travel Jacket (Review by LuvOutdoors)
This is a jacket I feel compelled to write a review on -- it is that good!
First I need to mention the front two-way zipper. I will not buy a jacket without a front two-way zipper -- it makes it so easy to adjust the fit. It makes it so easy to go from a rain storm to the driver's seat in a vehicle without taking off the jacket. There are at least ten different reasons on why a front two-way zipper is needed, but I will spare you and just say it is needed.
I love the pit/side zipper vents -- more adjustability that is built-in.
The cuffs have half elastic and velcro -- another great feature that prevents sleeve-droop.
The pockets are huge zip pockets -- they will really get a workout from me!
Fabric-wise, you can't get any better than Gore-tex.
Hardware -- this jacket has the best!
The hood is great; one that I can just flip up if caught in a rain storm. The hood also has adjustability.
I was looking for a jacket that would pack down to nothing, both in mass and weight -- one I can travel with. This jackets packs down to practically nothing.
Size-wise, the cut is generous. I fit into a medium. I bought a large in the event I want to put some fleece layering under it.
Outdoor Research, keep up the good work with the two-way front zippers!

- Suggested gear alterations (Review by AJB)
I have not used the jacket yet but I have already noted a few things I wish we're different. 1.) the elastic in the wrist is a bit much making the Velcro closure unnecessary. I,d do away with the elastic and stick with the Velcro so the cuff can be sized to any preference. 2.) I prefer the two-way zippers on the pockets. Two-way zippers make it easier to get into and out of the pockets when wearing a backpack. 3) I like the concept of the Velcro loop to fold up the hood but I think my hair will probably get stuck in the Velcro and this May get annoying. 4.) what's with the lack of an internal pocket!?
I do like the fit of the jacket with the small being quite roomy which will allow for under layers to fit nicely. The quality seems good and I am sure it will be a good jacket.

- Super Versatile (Review by Sade)
I love my Aspire Jacket- it is the perfect all around jacket. It's lightweight enough that I bring it hiking/backpacking and durable enough that I use it skiing with layers underneath.
