Women's Floodlight Jacket™

Style# 95095OR

Keeping down insulation dry is nearly impossible in constantly damp environments like the North Cascades, the vast and dramatic mountain range right out our back door. That's why we wrapped the pure, untreated 800+ fill down of the Floodlight Jacket in waterproof, breathable Pertex® Shield+ fabric. This ingenious design ensures water never touches the down, completely blocks the wind and traps body heat in even the most inhospitable conditions. An ideal jacket for hiking, climbing or ski-touring in sodden environments, throwing on the Floodlight is a surefire way to stay warm and dry.

Women's Floodlight Jacket™ (Review by By EPD)

I live in the Northeast where our winters are long, cold, and raw. Low elevation mountains usually equal some of the most bone chilling cold I've experienced anywhere and this jacket is the answer! While synthetic insulation is nice, you just can't beat 800+fill down for warmth and compressibility. Add waterproofness to that and you have the best combination possible. The fit of this jacket is great, too; the sleeves are nice and long, the hood fits over a helmet and the torso is comfortable and flattering without being boxy or too puffy. It's not the warmest jacket I own but that's okay because I like to use when I'm actually climbing or skiing in the cold and not just as a belay jacket.

Women's Floodlight Jacket™ (Review by By JayDub)

The Floodlight very quickly replaced any other down jacket for long days of climbing. With 800 fill down, it lofts and insulates really well, but still packs down in a climbing pack. The Pertex shell fabric keeps the jacket waterproof (worn it in the rain) and very windproof, so no matter the weather I have a reliable insulation layer. The hood fits over a climbing helmet, and the cut is roomy enough to fit over my layers, but not at all bulky.
