Awesome pants!

By Ben Bressler

from Seattle, WA

I love these pants. I've always worn shell pants at resorts and softshell pants in the backcountry. I love the ability shell pants have to hold off the weather but when I'm in the backcountry I need pants that can breathe. This forces me to wear softshell pants and bring a lightweight zip on shell pant in my pack for when the weather turns real bad. NO LONGER! Because these pants have dual ventilation zippers on each leg you can open them both up to get an amazing cross breeze while skinning up the mountain. Then on the way down you can zip them up and stay comfortable even if the conditions are less than ideal.

These pants are worth every penny.

Side note: I broke my leg wearing these pants last year and ski patrol had to cut them off of me in order to patch me up. OR let me use their Infinite Guarantee to get a new pair of pants without any hesitation. You can't top that customer service.

Awesome Pants But Strange Fit

By AudiMann Eric

Pros

  • Durable
  • Pockets
  • Vents

Cons

  • FIT

Best Uses

  • SIDECOUNTRY
  • Skiing

I wear the model from 2 seasons ago. I have put them through their paces at Jackson Hole and other resorts. I wear them with the Axcess Jacket from 2 seasons ago. I also reviewed the jacket. These are outstanding pants just like the jacket. They do everything well. Best in colder weather. The only complaint I have is that the medium size is too tight in the waist with a perfect length. The large is too big in the waist and too long. I wear the large with a belt but the cuffs get caught in my binding forcing me to fold them up a little. I have a muscular build at 36 y/o with no gut and big skiier legs so I'm perplexed as why the sizing is just a little off. I normally wear a 33-34 pant size. I took a star off these pants due to the odd sizing. Otherwise, no complaints. They work as advertised. They are lightly insulated so take that into consideration too. I hope OR keeps their prices lower than the other guys.

  • Q:

Why is the crotch seam sewn so high? Tried them on and have to wear them as low-rise pants in order to be comfortable. Afraid I'm opening the door for lots of snow down the pants this winter... anyone else notice this or have this problem?
