These are absolutely my favorite shorts. I live in them all summer. They are extremely comfortable and keep me cool in the heat. My only complaint is the unpredictable fit from year to year. Last year's fit perfectly. This year's (same size) were so big that I couldn't wear them.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I bought some of these at a clearance outlet (Sierra Trading Post in WY) and they aren't sized with a number, they are Large, that is all it says. What are the correlations for the number sizing (S-XL = what?)? Thanks!

    Since the women's ferrosi shorts don't come in XL, do they run larger overall,
    to accommodate someone who would normally take an XL in your other shorts and
    pants?

      The Ferrosi shorts do run a little larger and they do stretch quite a bit, however this would be something that you would want to try on before you purchase.

      This year's Ferrosi shorts run large. Last year the medium fit me perfectly, this year's was way too big. I tried on the small, but that size was still too small. So while they do run big, I'm not sure that a large is quite equivalent to a standard XL.
