$89 later...cold fingers (Review by Simon)
Quality

I invested in these gloves based off of what I'd heard about the good quality of the brand and the fact that they were waterproof, made from good materials and hoping they would keep me warm and dry for several years. I purchased a slightly large size for a roomy, warm, fit...neither resulted. Although the build quality is good, the first mildly windy, winter day my fingers were cold. The gloves are rated for temperatures between 25F and -5F and yet at 30 degrees and below after only a few minutes of walking I can feel the chill start to seep in, wind or no. Additionally, in my case, the XL gloves are not large enough to accommodate a liner glove (with one, the fit is so tight it makes the hand even colder) and the idea of even purchasing a liner for warming in mild winter temps is just throwing good money after bad. Lesson learned, test before you take off the tags, I'd return the gloves if I still had those. The leather palm, Gor-tex, and windproofing are great, but if a $90 pair of gloves can't keep your hands warm in 20-30F degree temps, then really, what's the point of the other perks?
