    Comments about M's Revolution Gloves!":

This is a great glove to wear in the Wisconsin winter. It keeps my hand warm and when I'm not holding anything my hand is in a comfortable and natural position. Being an amputee, the pull loop is great for me to easily grab with my prosthetic so that I do not punch holes in the glove like I do with all others. So I must say this is a friendly glove for amputees. It is very durable as well with daily use in the outdoors.

      Comments about M's Revolution Gloves!":

Good snug fit and very dry. I submerged my hands into an icy creek to retrieve a dog toy. Gloves kept my hands dry. Hands felt a bit chilly after 2+ hours out in 30 degrees.

      • Q:

I'm looking for a good waterproof glove for general outdoor use, but predominantly backcountry skiing. The revolution gloves looks to be what I want, but I'm wondering if the glove cuff is designed to go overtop of or underneath your jacket sleeve. I find gloves that go overtop to be bulky and cumbersome, so I'm looking for something that will easily slide inside my jacket sleeve.

          A:

The cuff on the Revolution is designed to go over the jacket sleeve. The Crave gloves may be a good option for you if you want them to go under the jacket sleeve.

      • Q:

With my cheap ski gloves (that I use for backpacking), the liners get soaked with sweat shortly and then aren't good insulation anymore. I figure I need gloves with a waterproof exterior and a wool removable liner. Wool because it will continue to warm when wet. I am just not finding that glove with you or other high end gear makers. What do you know that I don't? The Revolution gloves look close. You guarantee that Ventia technology will keep the liners dry in aerobic conditions? Also, it wasn't clear. Were the liners removable?

          A:

I would not recommend the Revolution for backpacking, they might be a bit heavy and the liners do not remove. I would suggest you look at the Versaliners. They come with a fleece removable liner and a light weight waterproof shell. You could use your own wool liners and take our fleece liners out if you just wanted the shell. This has been a very popular light weight waterproof, mild weather option!

        Q:

Can you use Snowseal on these Revolution Gloves?
        Asked on 12/18/2010 by Anonymous

        • Outdoor Research Employees

          A:

Thanks for your question. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I would not recommend Snow Seal on the Revolution Gloves due to the heating process required to apply it. The leather palms should be treated at the factory, so you shouldn't need to do anything to them until you use them a bit. If they start soaking up water, I'd recommend either Nikwax or Granger's products to re-waterproof as needed. Good luck.
