I love the fit and style of this pant. I feel so comfortable in it. I use it for guiding the summer months in the mountains, and for spring and fall rock climbing trips. I have also found myself wearing these pants around town from time to time. The material is lightweight breathable, and just enough water resistant and quick drying to withstand summer rain storms. I own two pairs, and use them both all the time.

I bought these pants for cool weather rock climbing at Smith Rock. I needed something durable and also something to wear a single layer or as the second layer over a light long underwear-style base layer. Not only do these perform as I hoped they would, they look great (the Pewter color is less utilitarian and more cleanly styled in appearance than the website photo suggests), they hold up very well against snagging and brushes with rough rock, and I find myself wearing them all the time as my go-to casual pants. I am 5'7", 150lb, pear-shaped rather than apple-shaped in the lower half, and a size 10 is comfortably loose for movement and layering but not baggy. I do use the drawstring cord to keep em tight at the waist. Bottom line, I can't wait to get another pair!

I love these pants! I wear them all the time (I have 3 pairs). They are great for travelling as they are very comfortable for long plane rides. I also wear them multiple days on paddling/camping/ backpacking trips. The pants do a good job at repelling light rain and definitely block the wind. I like the mid-rise of the waist so I don't have to worry about it being too low. This is nice when paddling and backpacking. The pants seem very durable. I have had many people interested in the pants and talked them into buying a pair.

These are comfortable and useful pants. I really wish the drawstring was on the inside or not at all and that the fabric was more wrinkle resistant. This wrinkleyness makes them less likely to travel with me but still a good pant.

          • Q:

I tried on the size 4 of this pant and love it with only two exceptions: the inseam is just a bit short for my taste and the lower half of the let (from the knee down) seems a bit loose/baggy/bell-bottom-y. Is there a pant that's similar with a little longer, more streamlined fit through the bottom of the leg?

Hello Maureen. I have these pants in size 6 and they sit right on my hips. I would not call them mid-rise, but they are comfortable to sit and move around in without worrying about the waist being too low.
