Great shorts (Review by Hoser)

Just received an order and so far I like everything I have worn. I wore these Ferrosi 12" shorts while camping and they are great. They are light, the fit feels good, and comfortable. Length is good also as I like shorts a little longer; not 3 inches above my knees. Went on a short hike and the shorts were light and not binding. I cannot say enough about the water repellency. On the river, I grabbed my daughter as she was trying to swim and went in the water half way up the shorts, when I got out, they were dry and the water rolled right off. For longer periods of time in the water I am sure they will not repel as much but they dry really fast. They also repel fish blood really well, no stain as I wiped it off with water when fishing, good to go. So far so good! I look forward to wearing them all summer for everything.

Fantastic (Review by JEAN MICHEL)

These are the best shorts I have ever had the pleasure of wearing. Their versatility is unbelievable. Trim enough to wear to a garden party, yet stretchy enough to enjoy in active sports, not to mention they dry quickly.

Pockets are nice and roomy. They are the ultimate jack of all trades, master of all!

Nice Shorts (Review by Jim R)

Shorts look good and construction is solid. Light and comfortable for long trail days or short runs. Seem to run a little large. I have a 34" waist and the 34's are just large enough to need a belt. I'll order 32's next time.

Great material but sizing runs large (Review by Jason)

I really like these since they are comfortable for just about any activity. Quality is decent but seen some stitching start to unravel on the butt. Double stitched so hanging in there. Biggest gripe is that I'd say I'm around a 33. I ordered 32 based on reviews and find that if I'm wearing these multiple days in a row they tend to sag (especially if I'm carrying any weight in the pockets). Probably should have ordered a 30 and stretched them out.

Stain/Water Resistant (Review by martin)

I love these short. Stretchy, very very comfortable and they repel stains and water very well! Must get these.

Wicked awesome shorts (Review by Jeremy)

Just like the jacket, they are the bees knees. I rarely take these off in the summer as they are pretty much all you need for any adventure. Columbia River Gorge waterfall hiking: Go in the water come out with everything wet but the shorts (DWR is solid). Moab, breathable and airy. Bonus: The pockets are stretchy enough to hold a good sized camera lens if it comes down to that. Sadly, like the OR pants I own, the waists seem VERY generous.

Awesome shorts, long inseam for the style. (Review by Will)

First, if you hover between sizes, do yourself a favor and size down. They're stretchy shorts so if they feel perfect out of the dryer or in the fitting room, they will definitely become annoyingly loose if you're wearing them for more than just a day (backpacking, etc.). Also, I find the inseam too long as nothing annoys me more than having a hem tickling the back of my knee, so I cut off the bottom inch and a half and wear sweet soft shell jorts. You may not care.

Anyways, these are my favorite shorts and I am finally laying to rest my first pair after 6 seasons of field use. The zipper on the side pocket has finally died (maybe from picking up too much trash on trail). I love them so much that I might just sew the pocket shut and continue to use them in the non-work setting. Besides being fast drying, super stretchy (awesome for rock climbing and hiking up steep, rocky terrain), and lightweight, they are also ultra-durable. I have thought the fabric was going to tear for the last 3 seasons and it hasn't. Even extended contact with granite has left them without any holes. They certainly don't look new any more, but they are still solid which is where it all counts in the end. I can't speak highly enough of these shorts. It would totally be worth the money to get them hemmed if your length requirements are similar to mine.
