  • Q:

    How breathable are these pants? I like these pants for the winter aspects but I am also looking for a pant that is VERY waterproof for summer AK rains but also allows for some breathability during slightly warmer temperatures and hiking.

      A:

      Being as these are a durable insulated ski pant they are not as breathable as an alpine shell pant (see our Mentor Pant). If staying very dry in prolonged rains is of high concern then I would probably look solely at our Gore-Tex pants. You will also find an alpine shell pant much more versatile for summer and winter use. Thanks!

      A:

      They are completely water proof with 2 layers of Pertex Shield. Their 200D fabric makes them a much more durable pant than the Paladin Pant.

      These pants are looser fitting. They do not have the internal loops for suspenders so you will need a style-wise belt if they are loose in the waist.
      I normally wear a 36 pant but bought XL... a little big around the waist.
