- FIT depends on YOUR intended use.... GREAT JACKET, VALUE PRICED (Review by Crash Vegas)
Lighter and warmer than I expected but I am nothing but delighted with the MEDIUM fit (5'7" 170lbs Average Build, I wear a 15.5 & 34/35 Shirt, so I am between a medium and a large, or a Tall-Medium), because it is a SNUG fit. Cloudy, damp and chilly today but I am warm and comfortable running outside errands today with this jacket over a T-Shirt. The reason I bought this is a jacket to throw on over t shirt to go out and walk my dog in any normal Atlanta winter weather and or winter temperature. EXACTLY perfect for my purposes, but if I wanted to layer this OVER something, then I would have needed a large, but if layering is ever needed, this as a layer UNDER would be perfect

- lot of coat for not much $$ (Review by Shelbydog)
This is a great coat with fleece lined pockets, stuffs into the right pocket for easy storage, , internal pocket storage (think coffee thermos or sneaking beers into a concert), DWR keeps the snow from soaking the coat when having a snowball fight with the kids. On the whole, if you owned this coat you'd pretty much be unstoppable.

- Superb jacket (Review by Bula)
I agree with all the positive comments made by other reviewers, and want to emphasize that this is the best fitting jacket I have owned. I'm 5'9", about 158 lbs, and my jacket is a medium. It just moves with me no matter what I'm doing, which makes it super comfortable, as well as warm.

- Go-to for lightweight winter comfort (Review by Gavin)
For late fall and winter months here in northern Utah I find myself wearing this thing almost every day. Had it for a few years and after all the abuse I give it there is no evidence of wear. I've worn it snowshoeing through scrub oak multiple times with no tears in the fabric. Using just a base layer underneath it is warm to around 30 with no movement, but if you're active it is plenty warm to temps well below that. The fit is trim as to not be bulky but leaves enough room to layer if needed. Packs down small into its own pocket which is why I love it for backpacking or camping when I know temps are going to drop. The outer fabric sheds falling snow easily. I think there's a fine line between being too lightweight that it really isn't as useable as a down layer should be but I think this hoodie nails it! Great combination of warmth and weight.

- Fantastic Jacket (Review by Dave)
I am now into my second season with this jacket. I really went through the ringer when picking out a down jacket since I did not want to spend the money on more than one I needed something that could do it all. At 650 fill there are warmer jackets but when layered with a waterproof shell I have had this in near zero degree days on the slopes without ever being cold (only a light undershirt as a base). On normal days when it doesn't great crazy cold I wear this with a T-shirt and am perfectly comfortable. Love this jacket!

- Great all around piece (Review by Mobetta)
I have used this jacket for hanging out in the early morning outside drinking coffee before skiing to staying warm after skinning for a few hours when I am sweating. . The hood is perfect size to wear over hat for added warmth and wind protection. Light weight and very packable. Highly recommended

- down sweater (Review by captainEJ)
Bought this jacket with the hood to replace an older mountain hardwear down jacket I had that finally bit the dust. Its real light and packs extremely small so I always pack it when backcountry skiing. If the wind picks up or your waiting for your buddy on a ridge top, put this thing on and you got instant warmth. I've had several of these type of sweaters and this one from OR is on par with the other major brands. I probably used it 50-60 days worth of skiing both inbounds and out last year and it has developed a little bit of wear at the end of the sleeves but its common with the lightweight material these jackets are made of. I'm 6' 4" 185 lbs and went with the L so I could wear it under a shell and it fits about perfect.

- Just what I was looking for (Review by jclimb1)
I recently purchased this jacket and was very pleased. I wanted a mid-weight down jacket to serve multiple uses - winter mid-layer, shoulder season outer, stuff in pack in summer, and wear around town. Basically, a do most everything jacket without spending a bunch of cash. This jacket works well for all those. Also, it fits true to size, the pockets are located well and useful (fleece lined hand pockets are great), and the hood fits well. Overall, I am very pleased. My only two suggestions are: maybe a bit of fleece by the chin and 850 fill would be nice (but then it would cost more).

- Very Versatile (Review by Ryan)
I purchased this jacket to be worn in a myriad of temperatures. I frequently wear this jacket on my morning commute when the temp is usually around 40 or so. However, I recently used this jacket during a snow camping trip where the temps. dropped down to about 15. With some simple layering and the implementation of the hood, I was nice and toasty. The slim design of the jacket also allows for it to be worn under a shell without sacrificing too much loft. This is a well designed jacket that works very well in a wide range of temperatures and packs away to nearly nothing when not needed. I highly recommend this jacket.

- Simply the best amount of insulation I've found (Review by t.Bone)
I've found other down jackets can be too much fill at times and some can make you feel as if you need a little more. This is my second season on this jacket and I absolutely love it. Appears brand new with near daily use November-March. I live in higher elevation and commute to Denver daily so I see a good temp swing up and down the mountain which calls for insulation a solid chunk of the year. I've tried other brands and fills of many jackets but truly find this one to be about perfect for what I'm after. When I travel to the frozen tundra of Minnesota (most of the time unwillingly) I always bring this puffy along as it compresses down to a baseball when needed. This is my go-to jacket on most winter days!

- Great Jacket! (Review by flannelfisk)
Winter is coming to the Northwoods and this jacket has kept me extremely comfortable thus far. I love the fit and the feel. Has been a wonderful pillow and evening/morning layer on overnight trips. I get moving, and it gets warm fast.
