Details

Warm, compressible and incredibly lightweight, the Aria Jacket™ is built to keep you comfortably insulated when the temperature drops, then stuff away into a corner of your pack when not needed. Our best selling women's down layer, and a favorite of the women of Outdoor Research®, the jacket's high quality 650 fill down insulation keeps you cozy during cross-country rambles or while huddled in camp, yet the whole thing stows neatly for uphill slogs. For multi-day treks, it packs down so small you'll have a hard time not finding space to bring it along.

      Comments about W's Aria Jacket!":

I got this jacket because our winters in Europe are not that severe. Well fall 2010 it got wicked cold in Amsterdam and it still kept me snug and toasty. I am truly loving this snug fit jacket. What a great buy.

What is the temp range this jacket can be worn in without needing an outer shell

          A:

Temperature range depends on conditions and environment. The Aria is made up of a 650+fill. Anything below 20's I would suggest moving towards something warmer like the Incandescent or the Virtuoso.

Is this trim, standard, or relaxed fit? Wondering how much layering is possible underneath this jacket.

          A:

This is a Standard fit jacket and will be looser fitting than the trim fit, which will allow for more effective layering.

        • Outdoor Research Employees

          A:

The Aria Jacket has our standard fit. It works well over a base layer and/or a light to mid-weight fleece. If you are looking for something to pull over bulkier layers you would want to consider the Incandescent Hoody (style 97505) or the Virtuoso Hoody (style 97565).
