I wear this hoody in a variety of sports. I wear it to run in during the spring and fall, when the weather is cool and the wind is biting. I love the fold over mitten cuffs for when my hands get cold.
I wear this hoody when I backcountry ski...It blocks the wind, it's nice and lightweight. It's comfortable. The hood is form fitting, so it fits under a ski helmet or a climbing helmet. And when I'm not wearing the hood, the hood collar can be buttoned off to the side, out of the way.
This hoody is super versatile, really durable, and comfortable. The best of all worlds!

Q:
Why does the sleeve have two strangely small holes when folded over into the mitten cuff? Or do I have a defective jacket?

  The fold-over mitt cuffs on the Whirlwind hoody have openings for thumps and a couple fingers so you can still use your digits while keeping warm.
