Great when used for the proper task (Review by Andrew)

I love these gloves, and all OR gloves for that matter! They are great for mixed climbs, skiing and snow travel. The standard liner is nice and warm, but I prefer to use thinner wool liners when climbing. The big cuff keeps out snow when wading through deep stuff to get to the next pitch, and these gloves dry fast! It was a bit more difficult to place screws and grip tools in these than lighter weight gloves. As such, for tool intensive leading these gloves are a bit bulky, but for seconding they are perfect. I did like to use them for gripping icy rock and doing hand/fist jams in rock(and ice). I found myself carrying the standard liners, and using the standard glove setup for belays, allowing my wool liners to warm and dry inside my jacket. The removeable wrist leash is a wonderful touch, and a good cat toy.

very nice (Review by Eldo Ed)

I would say that the materials are top, if not outstanding. These have quickly become my go-to gloves for Rando (Ski Mountaineering) and general winter use. I have warm hands and the shells alone keep me comfortable from 40-15 (lower if I'm skiing up hill) The WindStopper allows enough moisture out that they haven't ever been wet from the inside out.
I do think that OR should curve the fingers MORE, especially since they are technical gloves. If I was designing these, I would make the fingers so that they naturally curved around a 1.5 inch, or smaller tube. The distal joints would be the most curved, as those muscles are far weaker than the proximal joints/ muscles. I see no reason that these gloves explicitly designed to grip a ice tool or ski pole.

I would say that the size is about 1/2 size small, which is perfect for the technical application and grip. In a month of decent use I have seen absolutely zero wear.

Excellent gloves, I may have to buy Version 2 because they should be PERFECT.
