I purchased the jacket for my wife as a casual jacket. My feedback from her was that is was very warm and she just wanted to "cuddle" with it. She normally wears a small in other OR jackets, but this one fits more like a medium. The jacket I believe was intended to be worn with heavy layers under it, if so then it would be perfect. We both really love the jacket. We will definitely be ordering another one a size smaller.

They describe this jacket as having high loft fleece, and they weren't lying. It gets the job done of keeping you warm and providing functional movement amazingly. The lack of Windstopper material, or similar, isn't that big of a deal because the jacket is fairly wind resistant. The mesh hand warmer pockets do a good job of warming cold fingers on those cold days. It also has dual waist cinches to keep the wind from coming through the bottom. It's a terrific jacket for both on and off the trail.
