1-inch wide elastic in headband.
A two-inch length of elastic in the Cinch-Band™ increases comfort at the band by stretching a small distance.
Foam-stiffened brim:
In addition to the obvious structure benefits of foam in the brim, it also allows this hat to float if blown overboard.
Hook and loop tabs on crown and brim:
Brim can be fastened on one side of crown or both when greater visibility, ventilation, or style is needed.
Brushed tricot lining:
Spreads perspiration rapidly over its surface to aid in more rapid exhaust of vapor through the GORE-TEX® crown.

Removable drawcord under chin:
When it's windy the chin cord keeps the hat from flying overboard. For less intense situations, it can easily be untied from the loops above the ears.

Keeps water from running down your neck; yet, not so long that it gets in the way of a backpack.
