Inspired by the steep, remote rock walls of southern Jordan, the new Wadi Rum Collection includes feature-packed pieces that fit in just as nicely on the crux of a climb as they do in the director's chair. Purpose-built for climbing and detailed for trail-to-town versatility, the Wadi Rum Pants and Shorts use a durable Cordura nylon, spandex, and cotton blend to match the real-world ruggedness of the Middle Eastern routes from which it was named. RATING AND REVIEWS

Go to pant for traveling

5

I got 34 large. I'm 6'1" and it was large. I was planning to use it for a trip and didn't have time to exchange it for a regular, but it has been a great pant. It's pretty comfortable and is my go to pant for travel.

Great climbing pants

Have used the pants at both indoor and outdoor crags. Great range of mobility and durability of the fabric. On the few days out wearing them, there was drop knee, high step, knee bars, and so on.... There has been no wear showing yet at all. The only point too add which isn't a negative but more of an fyi is that they tend to fit larger despite measuring to the guide. So person depending you may want to order a size down. I'm usually always a 32/34, however in these pants, I feel they would be a better fit at a 30/34.

Nice Pants - Worn them for a week straight out of the box.

I've worn them for part of the day every day for over a week. They're just nice to have on and the fabric is a great change from the typical more nylon/polyester hiking pants I own. I wear a 34" inseam/30" waist in most Prana and Mountain Hardware type pants. With these in that size I've had to cuff the bottoms and could not wear them without a belt or the drawstrings. When you're not using the drawstrings, they hang lose and can get in the way or awkwardly come out of the fly. I think I love the pants and am happy I bought them, but I have two issues why they don't get a 5-Star rating. There seems to be an excess of material around the front and back. When I'm standing the pocket openings puff out and I can nearly slip my hands in them without touching fabric. It's a bit unusual. I like that they are looser in the legs and allow for good articulation, but they seem sloppy around the crotch and butt. At least on me compared to other brands. Also, the pocket lining is a flannel print that reminds me of some low-grade bulk pack boxer short material. Maybe it's just me, but it's weird to look down and see. That's just nit picking though. Great pants from a solid company.

Nice pair of pants

I bought this product as an everyday wear for slumming around or wearing outdoors. They are great pants that fit well. I bought the long version as I am 6'5'' and while they aren't long on me, they fit nicely.

Nice pants for light trail or city

Had to return the first pair to go a size smaller. I am normally a 35 inch waist so opted for the 36. Wrong choice. I think they tend to run a little big. The 34 is not tight at all. The draw string is a bit odd. One more thing to deal with, but I suppose it works as a back up to a belt? Regardless, you don't see it so kind of a wash. The thigh pocket is understated. Does not scream cargo. One thing I wish more pants had was a built in cell phone pocket. The thigh pocket works OK for that, but is kind of big for a cell phone.

When I first put these on I was amazed at how comfortable they are, very quickly these became my go to pants for everything from hiking to canoeing to going to the store with the family. They are very comfortable to travel in as well.

Bought these off click bait. Too nice to wear on a trail clearing trip. Very nice to look Outdoorsy Sexy! Stretchy fabric is great when bending at the knees. Top loader front pockets keep things st easy access.

Comfortable, flexible and a great addition to travel in.

Very comfy pant. I like the hidden drawstring on those days where I forget to grab a belt. Good pockets and overall very nice. Hopefully they hold up to extended wear and tear.

Durable Climbing Pants

5

Being 6'4" it is rather difficult to find a pair of dedicated climbing pants that don't make me look like I'm prepared for a flood. Alas, I found these and decided to give them a try. Their first true test was on Castleton Tower in Utah and they worked out great. They're not too tight (I'm 205 pounds), but not so loose they get in the way while climbing. They have just enough stretch and the right cut in the groin area so that they don't restrict movement while high-stepping. The draw string that you can tie inside the pants instead of wearing a belt is great, because wearing a belt while climbing is annoying. The zippered front thigh pocket works great for holding a phone. The only complaint I have is with the hip pockets; they seem oddly loose compared to other pants I own which isn't really a problem overall and probably just nit picky. After a month of wear I still like them, they don't show any signs of wear and would recommend them to a friend.
