This is my new favorite rainjacket. Light as a croissant. Breathable. Packs up small.

Great jacket

Nice fit, great hood! Slight stretch and not loud material... Definitely waterproof, windproof and breathable with use for hiking so far... Only fyi is that if you plan for winter use, might want to size up, in order for more layering room underneath...

Great quality and design, not for my body type

This is a beautiful jacket which I bought to upgrade my current rain gear. The technical and aesthetic design are beautiful, I love the long back and the visor insert in the hood, it's exceptionally light and clearly high quality. Unfortunately the M was too small around my hips, the L was too bulky in the shoulders and the arms. I returned both. I'm 5'9" and athletic with a narrow torso and a good sized but not excessive bum.

Great jacket

Bought this for hiking and climbing. Very breathable! Also material has slight stretch and isn't loud bad gore tex. Very light. Only comment on the sizing. I am a medium and bought a medium, which is relatively slim fit. I can fit extra layer jacket under it, but couldn't fit a down jacket. So if you want a winter shell, consider sizing up

Color was off

I ordered this for the color but once again, the color on the website wasn't at all like what I received. This has happened a few times lately. I got the violet color but it is more a grayish muted purple than what I wanted. I just want to put in a plug for more pastel, brighter light colors which are much more visible in the backcountry then these dark purples and grayish blues. It really is good to wear brighter clothing - so we can see you. Also, I am returning this, so I can't say for sure, but in the past when a jacket has that solid white inner lining I find that they don't breathe well. In general, I have found that Gortex breathes the best and this isn't gortex. It was nice and light and I loved it's simplicity. A little snug around the hips in a size large, but the XL was huge in the chest and the hood.

Perfect

I ski in it at least twice a week in the Cascades--which means I use it in freezing rain, snow, rain, wind, and just about any other sort of awful weather. It saw sun twice over the last 12 months, and was also fine, easy to ventilate. I'm always warm, dry, and comfortable. It's truly light and stretchy, and doesn't bind anywhere. Hood works with and without a helmet! It's simple, low key, but really well designed. It's so good, I want to buy a back-up, just in case it gets discontinued. It doesn't have a powder skirt (and we rarely have powder where I go, so nbd), and some may prefer more pockets, but I don't use pockets while skiing--fanny pack. It's perfect for our weather. Would also love this in a parka length to offer protection on wet chairlifts.
