Great lightweight baselayer

I bought this to replace an older baselayer top. I was really excited about the hood, because my beanie always falls off at night and I think the hood over the top will help it stay on. It fits really well and I think it will work for what I need. The only complaint I have is that the zipper seems a little short, and it's a little scratchy when it's unzipped. In the future I hope they make a hooded Alpine Onset top that has the criss-cross neckline like the Blackridge top, or upgrade the zipper backing.

Love this!

I love this! The hood is perfect for keeping the sun off or when you need just a little bit of warmth. This is light weight and comfortable.

Haven't tried this out in the field yet, but can tell already it will be warm having just warn it around the house. It's much softer than other products I've purchased in the past containing wool, and the hood is an added plus. It's not super snug (I'm 5-8, 150 lbs, athletic/curvy and usually wear a L...I could wear a L or M in this style) in the arms OR hips which is awesome. Plenty long for backcountry outings (won't come untucked from snowpants).

love the hood

the hood is great under a ski helmet on chilly days

Perfect base layer for backcountry skiing

I've used this hoody multiple times now for backcountry skiing. It's been a perfect layer for wicking away sweat on the way up and keeping me warm on the way down without retaining odor. I'm sensitive to wool, but the merino blend is soft and silky without being itchy. I love the purple color and could even wear it around town. I also like the longer length. The only negative issue I could see with increased use is pilling from my backpack. I'm 5'6", 140 pounds, and the medium is perfect (I prefer a looser fit).

Love it!

I love the cut of this layer. It's long enough that I can tuck it in and stay warm around the waist while skiing, running etc without worrying about it riding up and getting a gap at my lower back.

I love this shirt!

This is just the base layer I've been looking for! It's a lightweight base layer, and the hood is perfect for a little extra added warmth. I've worn it skiing and it's great for layering. I anticipate it will also be excellent for running, hiking, and backpacking, just haven't worn it for those yet. I'm 5'4", 122 lbs with chest and waist measurements of 35" and 25" respectively. I ordered a small which has a comfortably relaxed fit, which I am happy with. Sometimes it's nice to not be wearing skin tight base layers.

This is the perfect baselayer. It's light but warm. It looks great and keeps odors at bay.

I would buy this again

Perfect all around top, comfortable, warm, great for hikes and also looks good around town. Love the color.

I am 5'4", 120 lbs and the size small fits me perfectly. I am constantly in severely cold weather for hours at a time for my job. I never had to even wear a jacket because this was perfect warmth with a long sleeve shirt. One of the best purchases I ever made.
