Fun Fact:

Eric Simonson initially climbed Mount Rainier in 1970, and he has not gone a year without standing on top since first reaching the summit—nearly 300 climbs now. Along the way he managed to undertake over one hundred high-altitude expeditions around the world and also learn the guiding business inside and out, both from his decades as an active guide and now as one of the owners of International Mountain Guides in Ashford, Wash.

He is always ready for a spirited discussion of the guiding business, which he has watched evolve over the last 40 years, and which never ceases to provide lots of challenges. When not working with guides and climbers on planning future expeditions, Eric enjoys hiking and skiing in the Washington Cascades with his family and friends.
