Since 2015, OR has been supporting ONDA’s stewardship program by providing its employees with rugged apparel capable of withstanding the rigors of the high desert climate and hard days in the field. ONDA’s stewardship staff spend nearly half the year leading volunteer restoration trips to remote places like Steens Mountain, the Owyhee Canyonlands and the John Day River basin to plant trees, removing obsolete barbed wire fence to improve wildlife habitat and help people fall in love with the austere beauty of the desert. The durable products that OR produces and ONDA’s rugged stewardship work are the perfect pairing.
Fun Fact: ONDA's staff observe Edward Abbey's birthday as a holiday. On this day staff are encouraged to get outside to be reminded of what it is we work so hard to protect, defend and restore.
