Rocktober Rigs: Jason Nelson's Drool-Worthy Trailer

In honor of fall road trips and perfect sending temps, we're highlighting a few of our athletes' adventure rigs this month. So if you're looking for a little inspiration to take your Rocktober road trip vehicle up a notch, read on and check back throughout the month.

Outdoor Research ambassador Jason Nelson's utility trailer takes the concept of "utility" to the next level—it's basically a tiny house on wheels. And, because it looks just like any other utility trailer, it flies under the radar. He had us with the double hammock setup and the sodastream. Check out his 360-style video. Here are his specs.

Make and model: Carson Utility Trailer

How many miles? ??? no odometer

How long have you had it? 1 year

Its best feature? It's undercover!

Its worst feature? No view if the doors are closed, and not much protection from bugs

Any nickname? The viability trailer (subject to change)

Did you do any building it or remodeling on it yourself? Yes, all of it!

What’s one thing you’d do differently? Get a trailer with brakes to ease mountain driving.

What’s your favorite place to take it? Somewhere away from people, where I can drop the back to an awesome view, and look forward to an adventure on the horizon.

What would be the vehicle’s theme song?  "I Am The Highway" by Audioslave
