I work in military aviation as a loadmaster, and typically I'm incredibly hard on gloves. In a typical day, my gloves get exposed to metal cables, wood, dirt, aircraft fuel, etc. They get constantly rubbed on the equivalent of 180 grit sandpaper. Thankfully, they are provided by my squadron and I don't have to pay for them out of pocket but these I would if necessary. The fit (I wear smalls) is perfect, with fantastic dexterity, the knuckle protection is just enough to actually work as advertised without being bulky enough to get in the way. I've worked with Mechanix, Oakley, and the standard issue nomex flight gloves and these are the best I've used. The price point is great for what you get - the Oakley ones my squadron bought retailed for WAY more and lasted three weeks before all the stitching down the fingers blew out. A typical pair of good Mechanix (my number two) will last me about two months. These Outdoor research gloves lasted almost a year before I finally eroded the fingertips down to holes, two include two deployments. Highly recommend.
