The warmest!!

Already had one pair I shared with my wife. This second pair ensures I have my own. I have found no flaws In These mitts after over a year. Tough and warm.

Warmest mitts I've ever put on

5

Warmest mitts I've ever owned. Throw them on and my hands are sweating after 15 min. The shells are amazing, I've put the shells on top of my gloves during a 90 minute skijor and my hands actually got too warm in 15 degree weather. Not to mention the leather grips very well. The liners are great as well, very warm just on their own. I always bring these any time I'm ice climbing or doing any sort of Alpine movement. Can't recommend them enough. The leather mitt is a vast improvement over the synthetic alti glove.

Elastic on back of Mitten is bad set up

3

I have Alti mitts as well as the Mt. Baker and the strap on the back of the Mt. Baker make them a much better glove: easier to get on and off, ability to cinch them up if you want. The Alti Mitts with the elastic make it nearly impossible to get you hand in and out and causes the liner to come loose. Please add the cinch strap to these mitts and they will be fantastic.

Great for keeping hands warm in extreme weather.

These are great! Superwarm, removable liner is a plus.

The removable, insulated liners make these a versatile piece of your winter kit. I primarily use them for skiing when it is below 0 F, but I use parts for various other times. With my hand in a splint from a wrist fracture, the insulated outer cover is perfect for going over the splint.

Warm Mittens

I used my mittens on a night at Fenway Park and downhill skiing in February. The mittens kept my hands warm and I like them. Quality product and I highly recommend them.

Very warm but no dexterity

3

Very warm and tough mitt. However, it is impossible to do anything once you have them on. I haven't tried, but I suspect you could do little more than push/pull an ascender up a fixed rope with these. I CAB attest that it is impossible to belay, hold a beverage, undo a small buckle, or even hold a trekking pole reliably. I tried a smaller size and had the same problem. I am keeping one pair because they are so dang warm. When I'm ice climbing in a team of three or more and don't have to climb OR belay, these are great for staying warm while waiting my turn. However, they aren't practical for anything else, except, perhaps 7000+ meter peaks.

Warm, durable and functional

4

Have had 3 weeks of use in -10 to -20 Celsius weather and find the mitts to be quite warm. I fall between small and medium sizing but sized up so I could wear a thin liner glove underneath. A few things I have enjoyed about the mitts so far: - Comfortable to wear while standing at -10 Celsius and while walking (light activity) at -20 Celsius - Durable, they already had a crampon step on them and both the Goretex shell and leather held up fine - With the liner mitt removed I can fit a light to mid-weight glove inside which works well for ice climbing. I get the dexterity of the glove while climbing and the ability to throw the shell over for some added warmth at the belay. Not a major issues, but I have noticed that without a 'cinch' at the wrist the mittens sometimes start to slide off my hands. A durable, warm and functional mitten - hope you enjoy!
