Great jacket for everyday wear

The Deviator is a great jacket for "tweener" conditions when you need more than a base layer but will be active. It breathes and moves well during activity. I've worn this jacket on cool, early morning runs and caught myself still wearing it hours later because it's so comfortable I don't notice it like I notice most other jackets. Casual wear and running are the activities I've used for so far. I look forward to wearing the Deviator for uphill skiing this winter. I'm 5'10, 155 lbs and the medium fits well.

Nice in-between light jacket

I've had this a few weeks and have mostly worn it around town and on one day trip. My daughter had one of these and loved it, so her sister, mom and I all bought one. A hit in our family. I like the snug fit (5'10, 172lbs - size medium) over a t-shirt. Very light, comfortable, adds significant warmth, but less than my light puffy. Also like the full zip jacket nature with light insulation (vs. pullover). Easy and practical to take on and off. I foresee including in my backpack due to weight/warmth ratio.

Awesome Jacket!

Used as casual wear, also 9 day river trip, elk hunting, hiking and skiing. Great mid or top layer for morning ascents. Fits under rain/ski jacket very easily. Keeps you warm but also sheds excess heat when climbing. I'm 6 ft 190lbs large fits great and looks good around town. Holds up well for being a semi puffy, Just wish it was slightly more durable so I wasn't worrying about ripping puffy section. The arm sections so far seem to be very durable. I especially enjoy the hood and thumb holes. Great buy! I would highly recommend.

Incredible versatility

OR nailed the right combination of insulative value and breathability on this one. Been wearing for uphill travel of all varieties. It's light, supremely breathable and adds just the right amount of warmth to cut the alpine chill while moving.

Just what i was looking for.

I was looking for a lightweight layering piece. I will use it for work and backpacking. I expect this will get daily use this fall, winter and spring. I am a carpenter living and working in southern New England as well as an avid white mountain hiker. Great product! I anticipate being very pleased with this product.

Deviator Hoody

Overall, I'm very impressed with the deviator. I actually find myself wearing it everywhere now that the temperature is more fall like. It's the best combo of fleece and insulation- not too hot, not too cold. Buyers- check the sizing. I'm 6'1 and about 165. Medium is perfect for my intended use. The torso could be about an inch longer, but that's being nitpicky. You're not gonna get many layers under this piece, but the slim fit allows you to layer over top if the weather gets too cold. But if you're moving, this jacket will be fine at keeping you warm. The alpine style hood looks a little goofy, but is actually really comfortable and much more efficient than traditional hoods. This one actually keeps your head warm.

Favorite hoody ever

I bought this hoody in a women's medium, and the fit and use was great. When I saw this color offered in the men's I knew I had to have it. I ordered a size small, and the fit is spot on for a 5 foot 10 inch 135 pound female with long arms and a long torso. Love the color, and I already clearly loved the deviator hoody. Perfect for long, fall ridge runs in Alaska, and ski touring. Love this hoody.

Perfect for shoulde rseasons above the trees

I've used this jacket on two trips that started at 5000' and went above 8000, and 10,000 ft, respectively. Both were cold windy trips in September. This piece is breathable when you need it to be and windproof in the chest once you zip it up. We were in conditions ranging from 20s to the 50s. I must of the time and I only took it off on one trip after the temps finally reached the 70s.
