I bought these gloves for summer backpacking and rainy days, thinking the use of the glove and liner together would give me a lot of versatility. I brought them on a winter trip as well, intending to see how they fared in sub-freezing temperatures and wind. They answer is, they did great. Down to 15 degrees they were perfectly warm, easy to get on/off, even with the liners in the pockets. They were not windproof, which I learned while snowshoeing at 10,000 feet, but even though some cool air penetrated (I was not wearing the liners), they still kept my hands warm and did their job. For not being desired for sub-freezing temps, they handled it well. I suspect with the liners they could go down to 0 no problem in a survival scenario.
