RATING AND REVIEWS

Great active glove

4

Great glove for active days. I have very small hands and have trouble finding gloves that are small enough, but the xs fits and is even a little tight on the fingers.

Awesome

Gloves are perfect weight to keep my hands warm but not hot in high intensity activity.

Exactly what I wanted

I run hot so these are perfect for touring/running/xc skiing down to about -15C for me. Colder than that they fit well under a bigger pair of mitts. Touch screen compatible works well, non-bulky. Very happy with these as a light glove for higher output activities.

Not exactly what I expected

The venting finger zone appears a contradiction to the wind stopping fabric. My finger tips get really cold in temperatures these gloves should be crushing. I bought these for wear with uniform due to the subdued OR emblem and the touch screen finger tips.

Kind of tight for a size medium, but fingers too long

I bought these to use when the temp is around 40 F, and they are warm enough at that temperature. However, compared to another pair of size Medium gloves I have from OR, which are slightly large for my hands, these are overly tight around the palm/knuckles and the fingers are too long. I kept them because I need gloves that minute and was thinking they might stretch a bit. After a couple weeks one of the seams started coming apart, probably because they were too tight, and they had not stretched out (which normally is a good thing!). I don't think these are bad gloves, but be prepared to return to try another size.

They do their job and do it well...

These gloves are a great piece of insulation in a tiny package. I usually prefer my liners to come without touchscreen compatibility as the sensor tips wear out easily. Then again they are liners and meant to be under another barrier. With that said, even though the sensor fingertips are showing considerable wear already, they are very warm and wind resistant!! I have worn them down to only 18°F at the moment and had no need for my insulated or event mitts. I rarely use my phone when out so would have liked these in a non compatible option to increase durability. Either way, I'll buy them again until I find some that preform the same without the durability issues. An added note, I have the hands of a tiny child (usually buy children's gloves) and ordered a small in these. They were TIGHT and wouldn't fit with my nails done.

Not heavy enough for early winter thru-hiking

2

Got these gloves with a month left in my AT thru-hike, which concluded in early December. Unfortunately, the sensor pads have all warn off already and I found myself layering socks over my gloves for extra warmth. My take a way is that I bought the wrong gear for the conditions. I have many pieces of OR gear that I love. Sadly, these didn't meet the rigors of early winter thru-hiking.

How to measure

Measure around a flat hand at the knuckles,do not include your thumb. Also measure your hand length from the base of your palm to the end of your middle finger. Use the larger of the two measurements to select your glove size.
