One thing I look for when I look at reviews are how they fit other people that are similar in size to me. So I am 5'9", 125lbs. Tall and skinny and I have the hardest time finding pants that are small enough for my waist, but long enough for my legs. I bought a size 4, but I have to wear a belt with them since they are a little bit large on me. That is fine though, since I usually wear a belt anyways to strap on a gun. For me, the fit is perfect because the pants are a little baggy so I am comfortably able to move around in them. You can use these for anything. I've mostly been using them as casual wear, but I have also used them for a couple hikes. Either way, they work perfectly. These pants are actually durable as well. I went hiking in the woods and snagged a branch on my pants. I cringed and my heart stopped a little when I thought I had ripped the pants that were only a week old. I shoved the branch out of the way and glanced down. The pants were fine. They were not ripped and I was surprised. The material is very thin, so I wouldn't suggest taking these out in the wintertime unless you have some sort of base layer. I don't think these are completely waterproof (or I haven't tested that yet), but I would just prefer to use my snow pants or water proof pants when playing in the snow in the mountains. I love these pants so much that I bough two pairs. One in black and one in the gray color. I do with that they would make more colors available for the long version of these pants. Please remember us tall girls like colors too.
