Light and carries weight well

This is a great pack for summer and early fall day hikes and side trips from a backpacking base camp. It carries weight well and keeps its shape. Hugs my back like a little monkey. Has a compression cord that can be used to lash on a light fleece of a parka if needed. It's way lighter than anything else in its size class, except for packs that are little more than stuff sacks with shoulder straps--that tend to go pear-shaped. The lack of outside pockets doesn't bother me. On a small pack, water bottle pockets can't be reached when the pack is on, anyway. The only changes I'd like to see would be to make the interior mesh pocket a bit larger and put a loop and snap hook inside it for car keys.

Great, lightweight backpack for travel

I bought this (lemongrass/grey colour) bag on a whim at MEC in Vancouver, BC right before my trip to NZ/Oz, and I'm glad I did. I was looking for a light backpack to carry with me on day trips around town, on day tours, and tuck under the seat of the airplane. Even when stuffed full, I'm sure this bag would fit under the seat. Pros: Expandable. I could have it scrunched up small to take up less space, or I could expand it to the max. I actually almost had it to max capacity with my last day running around for souvenirs. I managed to fit in two boomerangs, two Starbucks cups in their boxes, wallet, phone, camera, light jacket, a water bottle, and other small items. It dragged on my shoulders (see below), but this little bag carries a lot more than it looks like it can. It was 34C when I was in Australia, and I really noticed a couple of things: - It was hot. The bag got sweaty. But in the bag's defense, I was going for light and casual, versus long day hikes where staying dry was ideal. It is a great bag to carry around town. - The straps are thin, and depending on what you have in the bag (I always had a full water bottle (standard Dasani/Aquafina water bottle size of 592mL or whatever, wallet, point and shoot camera, phone), the straps start to dig in on the front where the straps sit (not on the shoulders). Thankfully, the chest strap was there to ease the pressure. Side notes: I don't know how it does in rain, though I think it would work with some waterproofing treatment. None of these cons will prevent me from getting another bag like this. If I were going to go harder on the activities like running, and extended trips, this isn't the bag to get. However, it feels like it could still last a while. Now that I'm home, I'll be using this for running around town and hiking.

Great little backpack.

Love this pack. It's my gym pack for my rock climbing gear and it's great to pack away and have a light pack for backpacking or other travel.

Solid summit pack

The Isolation Pack is a no frills, barebones pack, designed for fast and light travel. Don't be fooled by it's small size, it can hold the basics and more for a long day in the mountains. Full review:
